Greenwood High School celebrated Sankranti Sambaralu with great joy, cultural vibrancy, and a strong spirit of togetherness. The entire campus was beautifully transformed into a colorful representation of traditional village life, offering students and parents an immersive experience of Indian heritage.


The celebrations were graced by the esteemed presence of our dignitaries — Director Mr. G. Bharadwaj Naidu, Mrs. Jyoti Dharmareddy, Mrs. Jahannavi, General Manager Mr. Prabhakumar, Principal Mrs. Manjula Devi, Dean Mr. Ravinder, Vice Principal Mr. Srikanth, and ACO Mrs. Rajeshwari. Their presence added dignity and significance to the festive occasion.


Addressing the gathering, Director Mr. G. Bharadwaj Naidu highlighted Greenwood High School’s strong commitment to holistic education. He emphasized that along with academic excellence, the school focuses on nurturing cultural awareness, ethical values, and moral integrity among students. The celebration included engaging activities such as a Rangoli Competition for mothers and a Kite Flying Competition for fathers, which saw enthusiastic participation and joyful involvement from parents. The campus came alive with colorful rangolis, traditional decorations, and festive setups. The Bommala Koluvu stage decoration emerged as a cultural highlight, beautifully reflecting the richness of Indian traditions.




Students enthralled the audience with delightful cultural performances, including traditional dances and skits that showcased the spirit and significance of Sankranti. A special attraction was the Bhogi Pallu ceremony, conducted for young students, which brought smiles, excitement, and a meaningful introduction to age-old customs.


Adding to the festive warmth, a delicious Sankranti feast lunch was arranged for students and parents, strengthening the bond of togetherness and celebration. Prizes were awarded to the winners of the Rangoli Competition, appreciating the creativity and enthusiastic participation of mothers.
