Saluting the Spirit of India: 77th Republic Day Celebrations @ Greenwood – Hasanparthy

The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and solemn pride at Greenwood High School, Hasanparthy, Hanumakonda on 26th January 2026. The occasion marked the continued commitment of the nation to the ideals enshrined in the Constitution of India—justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Republic Day is celebrated every year across the country with great zeal to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India on 26th January 1950. It reminds every citizen of India’s rich democratic heritage, unity in diversity, and the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters for the nation’s independence.

The Republic Day celebrations at Greenwood High School were a grand and memorable event, attended by the management, principals, teachers, and students. The programme was graced by the presence of Sri. Ch. Dharma Reddy, Honorable Director; Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, Honorable Director; Sri. A. Prabhu Kumar, General Manager; Sri. V. V. V. Naveen Kumar, Academic Principal; Sri. T. Pavan Kumar, Administrative Principal; , , Sri. V. Suresh Kumar, Vice Principal and Academic Coordinators.

Under the able guidance of the Greenwood High School Art and Craft Department teacher, Ms. Banaja Sahoo, the Art Club students beautifully decorated the entire school campus and the stage. Their creative efforts added colour, elegance, and a patriotic atmosphere to the celebrations, enhancing the grandeur of the Republic Day programme and leaving a lasting impression on everyone present

The programme was confidently and gracefully anchored by Harini and Sahana Sri of Class IX Sushrutha, under the guidance of Mr. T. Vijay Kanth, HOD of English, who set the tone for the celebrations and highlighted the significance of the day.

The dignitaries were respectfully invited onto the dais, followed by offering prayers and paying tributes to the freedom fighters, remembering their immense sacrifices. The ceremony continued with the hoisting of the National Flag, filling the atmosphere with patriotism as the National Anthem was sung in unison.

A well-coordinated parade by the students was one of the highlights of the event. The parade reflected discipline, unity, and dedication, earning appreciation from the dignitaries and the audience.

The programme continued with inspiring speeches by the dignitaries.
Sri. Challa Dharma Reddy, Honorable Director, encouraged students to develop skills beyond academics and asked teachers to guide students in nurturing their talents.

Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, Honorable Director, spoke about India’s remarkable progress in technology in recent years and emphasized the importance of leadership in shaping modern India.

This was followed by speeches from teachers, namely Mr. A. Venu Kumar, Mr. Khuranuddin, and Mr. J. Ramesh, who highlighted the importance of constitutional values and responsible citizenship.

The celebrations concluded with vibrant cultural programmes, including:

  • Dumbbells performance by Class VII boys
  • Pyramid formations by Class VIII and IX boys
  • Patriotic group dances and Lezim dance by girls

The cultural performances showcased the students’ talent, coordination, and love for the nation, filling the atmosphere with joy and pride.
