Republic Day Celebrations @Greenwood-Hunter Road

Greenwood High School, Hunter Road, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with immense pride, dignity, and patriotic fervour. The campus resonated with national spirit as students and staff came together to honour the Constitution of India and the values it upholds.

The programme began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, followed by a traditional coconut offering ceremony as a mark of respect. The ceremony was graced by Director Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, Principal Manjula Ma’am, Dean of Academics Mr. Ravinder, Vice Principal Mr. Srikanth, and Coordinator Mrs. Rajeshwari.

The National Flag was solemnly hoisted by the Director, filling the atmosphere with a deep sense of unity, respect, and national pride.

The celebrations continued with inspiring speeches in Hindi, English, and Telugu, highlighting the significance of Republic Day and the responsibilities of citizens. Students presented soul-stirring patriotic songs and impactful slogans, expressing their love for the nation. A delightful fancy dress performance by pre-primary students added colour and charm to the event.

The cultural segment showcased the diverse talents of our students, featuring energetic dance performances, a graceful yoga display, a thought-provoking skit by high school students, and a disciplined NCC drill, reflecting courage, discipline, and commitment to the nation.

The programme concluded with prize distribution, an inspiring address by the Director, and a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism and responsibility. The celebration was truly memorable, meaningful, and inspiring for all.
