Greenwood Honoured the Spirit
of the Indian Constitution!
Greenwood High School, Hasanparthy, celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November 2024 with great enthusiasm and pride. The Social Department of the school, under the guidance of Sri Satheesan Achari, Sri Ranjit Behera, and other social studies teachers, efficiently organized the event, andit was hosted by the students – Ritika (X SD), Deedeepya (X Kalam), and Jaseena (X Bhatnagar), who kept the program running smoothly and cheerfully.
Welcoming the Dignitaries :
The event began with Mr. Jojilal Albert’s welcome speech. Next the Chief Guest Dr. SriG Bharadwaja Naidusirand other dignitariesChief Administrative Officer Sri A Prabhu Kumar sir, Academic Principal Sri VVV Naveen Kumar sir, Administrative Principal Sri T Pavan Kumar sir, Vice principal Sri V Suresh Kumar sir, and the Academic Coordinator Smt. P. Kanthi madamwere welcomed to the dais and honoured with bouquets. Snehitha of Class X Edison beautifully portrayed Bharath Matha, adorning traditional attire that symbolized the spirit and pride of India.Her presence set the patriotic tone for the event.
Program Highlights
The celebration was filled with a variety of performances and speeches, all focused-on teaching students about the importance of the Indian Constitution.
Constitution Pledge
Prasuna from Class IX Sushrutha led the Constitution Pledge, where everyone joined in to reaffirm their commitment to the values of the Constitution.
Patriotic Songs
Suraj and Abhinav of Class VI Pasteur sang beautiful patriotic songs, filling the hall with a sense of unity and love for the country.
Speech: Why Do We Celebrate Constitution Day?
Lekhana from Class IX SD gave a simple and meaningful speech explaining why Constitution Day is important and how it reminds us of our rights and duties.
Speech on B.R. Ambedkar
B. Kritika of Class X Edison spoke about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, his role in drafting the Constitution, and his vision for a fair and equal India.
Role Play by Students
Students brought history to life by dressing up and acting as great leaders like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Abul Kalam Azad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Sarojini Naidu, Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit, Purnima Banerjee, and Kamala Choudhary etc. Their costumes and dialogues impressed everyone and helped everyone understand the efforts of these leaders in building our nation.

Skit by Chaitanya Group (Classes IV & V)
The Chaitanya Group performed a lively skit showcasing how the Constitution has shaped India and why it is so important for every citizen.
Skit on Fundamental Rights
Karan and his group from Class VIII Avogadro & Franklin performed an engaging skit on fundamental rights, showing how they help protect the freedom of every individual.
Dance Performance
Karthika and her group from Class VI performed a colorful dance that presented the cultural diversity of India, as protected by the Constitution.
Dialogue: Relevance of the Constitution
Students from Class VIII SD presented a series of dialogues explaining how the Constitution is still relevant today in solving modern problems.
Skit: Farmers Before and After the Constitution
Class X Watson students performed a touching skit that highlighted the changes in the lives of farmers before and after the Constitution came into effect.

This skit explained how democracy has evolved in India, focusing on how the Constitution has strengthened the country.
Speech by Honorable Director Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu
Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, the Director of Greenwood High School, delivered a powerful speech. He encouraged students to learn and follow the principles of the Constitution in their everyday lives.
Vote of Thanks
Deedeepthya from Class X Kalam concluded the program with a heartfelt
vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, teachers, and all students who made the event a grand success.
The Constitution Day celebrations were a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about the importance of the Indian Constitution. Through their speeches, skits, and performances, they gained a better understanding of their rights and responsibilities as citizens. The program ended on a high note, leaving everyone inspired and elated.
