Independence Day Celebrations at Greenwood High School, Mancherial Branch


On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Greenwood High School, Mancherial branch came alive with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The celebrations began with the gathering of students and staff at the school grounds, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the dignitaries.

The Principal, Mr. Chandramohan, and the Vice Principal, Mr. Thirupathi, were warmly welcomed as the 10th-grade boys of the Kalam House led a march past in their honour.

The ceremony commenced with Principal Mr. Chandramohan and Vice Principal Mr. Thirupathi offering a garland, coconut, and flowers to the symbolic representation of Bharat Mata, the personification of Mother India. This was followed by the soulful rendition of the national song by the school choir group, filling the atmosphere with a sense of unity and pride.

The highlight of the event was the flag hoisting ceremony, conducted by the esteemed dignitaries, followed by an inspiring message delivered by Principal Mr. Chandramohan. His speech emphasized the significance of independence and the role of students in shaping the future of the nation.

The cultural program kicked off with a special thematic presentation by the students of UKG, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, under the guidance of Mr. Mahendar and Mrs. Sunitha and voice over was rendered by O.Sri Vaishnavi from 9 th Satish Dhawan.The young ones brought to life the stories of national leaders, inspiring everyone with their performances.

The UKG children, mentored by Mrs. Merlyn Rice, mesmerized the audience with a lively pre-primary dance. This was followed by a thought-provoking speech by Mrs. Rajitha, a Social Studies teacher, who spoke about the importance of independence and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.

The event continued with a series of performances: a dance by the girls of the 10th Einstein class, a Telugu speech by R. Sudhiksth of the 9th Satish Dhawan , and another Telugu speech by Mr. Mahendar teacher in Telugu. The 5th-grade students showcased their talent with a dance performance, and K. Abhiram of the 5th grade delivered an eloquent English speech followed by a patriotic song that resonated with everyone present.

The 10th-grade boys of Kalam House took the stage next with a dynamic dance performance, followed by a speech by G. Aarick from grade 4. The Vice Principal, Mr. Thirupathi also addressed the gathering, sharing his thoughts on the significance of the day.

The event was a grand success, thanks to the meticulous coordination of the cultural committee, led by Principal Mr. Chandramohan, Vice Principal Mr. Thirupathi and dedicated staff members, including Mr. Mahendar, Mrs. Sailaja, Mrs. Sunitha, Mr. Suresh, Mrs. Tejasvi, and other teaching and non-teaching staff.

The Independence Day celebrations at Greenwood High School, Mancherial branch, were a true reflection of the spirit of freedom and the pride of being an Indian. The event concluded leaving everyone with a deep sense of patriotism and a renewed commitment to contribute to the nation’s progress.
