krishanashtami Celebrations @Gopalpur Greenwood

Greenwood High School, Gopalpur, celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with great fervor. The program began with the garlanding of Lord Krishna’s idol, the lighting of diyas, and an aarti sung by the teachers, alongside the nursery and LKG students. The entire setup resembled a lively scene from Mathura.

Students were dressed as Krishna, Sudama, Gopikas, and Radha, adding a traditional charm to the occasion. The event featured captivating dance performances by students from classes 1 to 4, followed by a skit cum dance presented by students from classes 5 to 7. A special performance by Devansha from LKG was a highlight.

The day was further enlivened by a pot-breaking ceremony, carried out by the pre-primary students, symbolizing the playful spirit of Krishna.

The celebration concluded on a meaningful note with a value message from the Principal, Mrs. Kavita Chawla, followed by the distribution of prasadam, including belam, aatkulu, and bananas. The entire day was both enlightening and enjoyable for everyone involved.
