Greenwood High School, Gopalpur, celebrated Math Day on December 21, 2024, with great enthusiasm and excitement. The event aimed to honor the contributions of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan and inspire students to appreciate the beauty of mathematics.
The program commenced with the garlanding of Srinivasa Ramanujan’s portrait, paying tribute to his extraordinary achievements. A speech by the Math teacher highlighted the importance of mathematics in daily life and encouraged students to embrace its challenges. Sai Chethan from class 5 also delivered an inspiring speech that captured the essence of the day.
Students from various classes prepared innovative math projects, which were displayed in a special exhibition. Their creativity and effort were evident in the diverse range of models and presentations. A math rally was also organized, allowing students to showcase their enthusiasm and unity while spreading awareness about the significance of mathematics.
