Pongal Celebrations at Greenwood High School, Gopalpur

Greenwood High School, Gopalpur, was filled with joy and enthusiasm as the vibrant festival of Pongal was celebrated with great zeal. The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed Director, Mr. Prabhu Kumar, and Mrs. Jyothi Dharma Reddy, whose presence added charm and significance to the festivities.

The celebrations began with a warm welcome extended by our Principal, Ms. Kavita Chawla, and the pre-primary students, setting the tone for the day’s events. The traditional Bogi Pannlu ceremony marked the beginning of the festival, where young students actively participated in this customary ritual. Director Sir delivered an inspiring message to the students, emphasizing the importance of preserving traditions and cherishing the essence of the harvest festival.

The occasion also saw the active involvement of parents, who were invited to participate and bless their children. It was heartwarming to witness the bond between parents and children as they came together to celebrate and share blessings, strengthening familial ties.

A special highlight was the lavish lunch organized by the management for the parents at the Gopalpur branch, adding to the warmth and hospitality of the celebration. Parents participated in the Bogi Pannlu ceremony alongside their children, making the event even more memorable.

The vibrant decorations across the campus, created by the dedicated efforts of the teachers, beautifully reflected the spirit of Pongal. Items symbolic of the festival adorned the school, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Adding to the excitement, the winners of the Rangoli competition, held a day prior, were announced, much to the delight of the parents and students.

The day concluded with heartfelt wishes and blessings as Director Sir and Mrs. Jyothi Dharma Reddy expressed their joy and extended warm Pongal greetings to everyone present.
