” Raksha bandhan celebration ” @Greenwood Gopalpur

Raksha Bandhan celebration at Greenwood High School, Gopalpur, was filled with joy and the true spirit of the festival! The story of Lord Krishna and Draupadi indeed captures the essence of Raksha Bandhan.

When Lord Krishna accidentally cut his finger, Draupadi’s immediate act of tearing a piece of her saree to bandage his wound symbolized the deep bond of protection and care.

In return, Lord Krishna vowed to protect her in times of need, signifying the sacred promise that underlies Raksha Bandhan.

At Greenwood High School, this tradition was beautifully honored as all the girl students prepared rakhis and tied them to their brothers (the boys), symbolizing their bond of protection and affection. In return, the boys fed sweets to the girls, reinforcing the bond with blessings and love.

This celebration truly reflected the values of compassion, love, and the protective bond that Raksha Bandhan represents, bringing students together in a heartwarming display of tradition and unity.
