The Raksha Bandhan celebrations at Greenwood High School, Mancherial branch, were a vibrant and joyful affair under the guidance of Principal Mr. Chandramohan and Vice Principal Mr.G.Thirupathi.
The program was gracefully anchored by Lineesha from Grade 6 and Lalith from Grade 3. The event commenced with an insightful introduction to Raksha Bandhan by Mr. Venkatesh, a teacher who explained the significance of this cherished festival that celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters.
The celebration was brought to life with a delightful dance performance by the primary siblings of the school. The audience were by captivated by the performances of Noel Prince , Jessica, Kartika and KritikNandan Avantika, Anurag , Tina baby, Sriharsha ,Sanvika, PraharshTej , Divyanshu Chandra, Rajashree Rani, Vihaan , Hansika, O. Nitya and Abhiram. Each pair of siblings performed with enthusiasm, showcasing their talent and love for one another.
Following the dance performances, Mr. Venkateswarlu delivered a speech in Telugu about the significance of Raksha Bandhan, emphasizing the cultural and emotional importance of the festival. His words resonated with everyone, reminding the audience of the deep-rooted traditions that bind families together.
The event continued with a high-energy dance performance by high school students, guided by Mrs. Sheetal. The performers, including O. Sri Vyshnavi, Surya Siddhartha, Rishihta, Lahari, Shasinivas, Moksha, Ishwith, Rakul Chandra, and Rishwita Sai, enthralled the audience with their synchronized moves and vibrant expressions.
Mr L. Srinivas then took the stage to deliver a speech in English, highlighting the universal values of love, protection, and respect that Raksha Bandhan embodies. His speech was followed by an address by the Vice Principal, Mr.G.Thirupathi, who spoke about the importance of maintaining these bonds in today’s fast-paced world.
The celebration concluded with the symbolic tying of rakhis, where female staff members tied rakhis to their male colleagues, and siblings exchanged rakhis, reinforcing the bonds of protection and affection. The event was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family and the enduring traditions that bring people together.
