Republic Day Celebrations at Greenwood High School, Mancherial


Under the guidance of Principal Mr.R.Chandramohan and Vice Principal Mr. G. Thirupathi, Greenwood High School, Mancherial, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with grandeur and patriotic fervor. Anchors Ch.Tanvi and Yash Mandal, under the mentorship of Mr. L. Srinivas teacher in English ensured the smooth flow of the program, creating a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere throughout the event.

The celebrations began with a ceremonial march past to welcome the dignitaries, led by the school’s disciplined student contingents. The esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. G. Rajashekar, Sub-Inspector of Police, Ramakrishnapur, was warmly received alongside the Principal and Vice Principal. Following the tradition, the dignitaries on the dais lit the ceremonial lamp and paid floral tributes to the portraits of Bharat Mata, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and other national leaders.

The school choir, performed the soulful *national song, filling the air with patriotic energy. The highlight of the event was the **flag hoisting ceremony, where the Chief Guest, Principal, and Vice Principal hoisted the tricolor. This was followed by the *National Anthem and slogans such as “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” which resonated through the gathering, igniting a sense of pride and unity among everyone present.

The cultural program commenced with a speech in Telugu by Manihasan of Satish Dhawan, who eloquently expressed the significance of Republic Day. Next, the students of 5th grade performed the stirring song భారత మాతకు జేజేలు బంగరు భూమికి జేజేలు under the guidance of Mrs. Meerabai, followed by an energetic dumbbell dance performance choreographed by the teacher,Mr.Sagar (PET) Harshvardhan of 4th grade delivered an impressive speech in English, highlighting the values enshrined in the Constitution.

Adding to the celebratory mood, the teachers’ group, led by Mrs. Premlatha, presented a melodious song, which was followed by another musical rendition, పాడుదమా స్వేచ్ఛ గీతిక, performed by Rujula and her group under the guidance of Mr. Mahendar,teacher in Telugu.

The younger students of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades showcased a delightful dance performance, choreographed by Mrs. Tejaswi.

The program also featured a series of impactful speeches. Shanvi of 8th grade delivered a moving speech in Hindi, while Sushruta of 8th grade addressed the gathering in English, both emphasizing the importance of unity and equality.

The Hindi teacher, Mr. Arif, captivated the audience with a beautiful Hindi song, and the senior students, Lakshmi, Pranitha, and Deekshita, performed a vibrant dance under the creative guidance of Mrs. Tejaswi.

To further engage the students, the school organized various sports, games, and competitions including throwball, football, lemon and spoon races, running, chess, carroms, singing, drawing, elocution, and essay writing. Winners of these events were honoured with prizes, recognizing their talents and efforts.

The celebrations concluded with inspiring messages by the Principal and Chief Guest, emphasizing the importance of preserving the values of democracy and fostering a spirit of patriotism among the youth. Sweet packets were distributed to all students, adding a sweet note to the occasion.



The Republic Day celebrations at Greenwood High School was a resounding success, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride in the nation and its heritage. The event truly reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible and patriotic citizens.
