Transition of Life from School to College

Time, the subtle thief, has been lurking in the corners to steal our class tenth children to sail them through newer-skies to reach them to a different, yet fabulous new environment in their life. Here are a few precepts from me to those students shortly leaving us to keep them in their memory and practice them to get wonderful results.

The transition from school to college is a significant phase in every student’s life. It marks the shift from the familiar and structured environment of school to the newfound independence and challenges of college. This transition affects various aspects of a student’s life, including academics, social life, and personal growth.

Academically, college brings a more specialized and in-depth focus on chosen subjects. The curriculum is often more flexible, allowing students to explore their interests. This shift demands increased self-discipline and responsibility. Unlike school, where teachers closely monitor progress, college requires students to manage their time efficiently and take initiative in their learning.

Socially, the college environment is diverse, exposing students to a wide range of perspectives and backgrounds. Making new friends becomes essential as the familiar faces from school are replaced by a sea of strangers. This social transition encourages students to broaden their horizons, develop interpersonal skills, and embrace diversity.

Independence is a cornerstone of the college experience. Unlike the structured routines of school life, college students have the freedom to make choices regarding their schedules, activities, and lifestyles. This newfound independence requires responsible decision-making and self-regulation. Students learn to balance academics, extracurricular activities, and personal life.

The behaviour of students undergoes a noticeable transformation during this transition. The increased freedom and responsibility often lead to a sense of liberation, prompting some students to explore new interests and perspectives. However, it can also be overwhelming, and some may grapple with homesickness or stress. This emotional aspect of the transition is an integral part of the college experience, fostering resilience and adaptability.

The relationship between students and educators evolves as well. College professors typically adopt a more hands-off approach, expecting students to take the initiative in their studies. This shift encourages open communication, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the subject matter.

In conclusion, I would like to say that the transition from school to college is a multifaceted journey encompassing academic, social, and personal aspects of a student’s life. It marks a shift from a structured, monitored environment to one that demands greater independence and responsibility. This transition not only shapes academic and career paths but also contributes significantly to personal growth, resilience, and the development of crucial life skills. I bless all the children and wish that they embracing these changes, embark on a transformative journey, laying the foundation for their future endeavours.

The Indian Constitution: A Manifestation of Unity, Justice, and Grandeur

28/01/2024, SUN

The Indian Constitution, enacted on January 26, 1950, is a monumental document that reflects the visionary ideals of its framers and the collective aspirations of a newly independent nation. Far beyond being a mere legal framework, it serves as a profound expression of the need for a democratic, just, and inclusive society, addressing the complex and diverse sociology-cultural tapestry of India.

The immediate post-independence era in India was marked by a fervent desire to consolidate the gains of freedom and chart a course towards a just and inclusive society. Recognizing the intricate tapestry of languages, religions, and cultures, the framers of the Constitution acknowledged the necessity of a unifying force. The Constitution emerged as that unifying factor, providing a common thread binding the nation together while accommodating the rich diversity that defines India.

The making of the Indian Constitution was an arduous yet inspiring journey, guided by Babu Rajendra prasad, Prasad, the elected as President of the Constituent Assembly of India and led by the stalwart Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who chaired the drafting committee. The Constituent Assembly engaged in meticulous deliberations, drawing inspiration from various constitutional frameworks across the globe. The framers, representing diverse ideologies, regions, and communities, forged a document that would be the bedrock of India’s democratic ethos. The Preamble, a concise yet profound statement, encapsulates the soul of the Constitution, declaring India a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic.

The grandeur of the Indian Constitution is most prominently manifested in its commitment to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. It guarantees fundamental rights to all citizens, ensuring their dignity and freedom. The directive principles of state policy provide a comprehensive roadmap for sociology-economic justice, aiming to bridge the gap between the privileged and the marginalized. This commitment to justice is not static; the Constitution has proven adaptable, with amendments reflecting the evolving needs of society while preserving its foundational principles.

Furthermore, the Constitution establishes a robust democratic framework, featuring a parliamentary system, periodic elections, and an independent judiciary. The separation of powers ensures checks and balances, preventing the concentration and abuse of authority. The Constitution’s resilience is evident in its ability to accommodate amendments, demonstrating its capacity to evolve with the maturation of Indian democracy.

In conclusion, the Indian Constitution stands as a living testament to a nation’s journey from colonial subjugation to a sovereign, democratic republic. Its creation was fueled by the urgent need for unity, justice, and exclusivity. The grandeur of the Indian Constitution transcends its legal significance; it serves as a guiding light for a diverse and dynamic nation. As India continues to evolve, its constitution remains a beacon, illuminating the path towards a more just, equitable, and united society. The Constitution is not just a legal document; it is a living embodiment of India’s democratic spirit and the collective vision of its founding fathers.

Let us all join together and hope that our magnanimous constitution would guide us in building a glorious nation where all the people are paced at the higher rungs of the economic ladder, where no deprivation of any sort is found and no discrimination of any kind is experienced.

” 75 th Republic Day” Celebrated in Abhyaas The Global School.

Indians mark and celebrate 26 January 1950 as the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect.

This is very important to us because the Indian constitution replaced the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India, thus turning the nation into a republic that is separate from the British Raj.

Today, we, at Abhyaas the global school celebrated the 75 th Republic Day in our sprawling campus to commemorate this great achievement by our patriotic forefathers.

Prabha Madam and the Grade 10 girls led the congregation by singing the National song.

Next the dignitaries paid their respects to the portrait of the Father of the Nation before hoisting the National flag and singing the National Anthem.

The Principal, Mr. V. Satyanarayana reviewed the colourful parade marching past him, led by the school’s SPL and the House leaders.

Principal Sir spoke on the responsibility placed on the shoulders of the teachers to imbibe the sense of patriotism, righteousness and truthfulness in the malleable young minds of our students so as to mold them to be worthy sons and daughters of our motherland.

Mr. Vinod Richards spoke about the reason for celebrating the Republic Day, its importance and how it is different from Independence Day.
