“Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.”
Every year since 2015 we celebrate 21st June as International Yoga Day. Greenwood High School Hunter Road promoted Yoga and it’s importance among the students of our school. A special assembly was held where they enlightened everyone with the importance of this day. They also showcased astonishing Yoga postures which help us in various ways to keep our body fit.
“Yoga is a light, which once lit will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter your flame.”
Following this motto, our school selected students who perform yoga everyday and encouraged other students to join them in the special event. Guide teacher Ms. Premalatha took this opportunity to display their skills in front of everyone by preparing exceptional yoga dance and performances. Students of class 7th and 8th showed different techniques of meditation and posture to help our mental and physical health.
NCC cadets of our school along with NCC madam Ms. Sajani gathered at Bhadrakali Bund at 6 AM and performed different yoga postures. They encouraged the crowd to join them, practice yoga and lead a healthy life.
Our beloved Principal Manjula maam appreciated the students for their hard-work and healthy lifestyle, she also encouraged each and every student to start practicing yoga for a healthy lifestyle. With this note the assembly dispersed.
