The Power of Kindness and the Virtue of Gratitude

14/04/2024, SUN

In our journey through life, one of the most beautiful things we can do is to lend a helping hand to others and express gratitude for the kindness we receive. These simple acts may seem small, but they have the power to make a significant impact on both the giver and the receiver.

Firstly, let’s talk about helping others. Helping someone can take many forms, from offering a listening ear to volunteering your time for a cause you believe in. It could be as simple as holding the door open for someone struggling with their hands full, or as profound as dedicating your life to serving others in need. The beauty of helping others lies not only in the assistance provided but also in the connections and bonds it fosters between people.

When we help others, we create a ripple effect of kindness that can spread far and wide. Imagine if everyone took a moment out of their day to help someone else. The world would be a much brighter and more compassionate place. Moreover, helping others isn’t just beneficial for those receiving assistance; it also brings immense satisfaction and fulfillment to the one offering help. Knowing that you’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life can uplift your spirits and fill your heart with joy.

“Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.”

Now, let’s turn our attention to showing gratitude. Gratitude is the warm feeling of appreciation we express towards those who have touched our lives in meaningful ways. It’s about acknowledging the kindness, support, and love we receive from others and letting them know how much their actions mean to us.

There are countless opportunities to show gratitude in our daily lives. Whether it’s thanking a friend for their support during a tough time, expressing appreciation to a teacher who has inspired us, or simply saying “thank you” to the person who holds the door open for us, each act of gratitude spreads positivity and strengthens the bonds of our relationships.

Gratitude is not just about words; it’s about actions too. We can show our gratitude through small gestures like writing a heartfelt note, giving a thoughtful gift, or lending a helping hand in return. These actions not only make the recipient feel valued and appreciated but also deepen the sense of connection between individuals.

Moreover, practicing gratitude has numerous benefits for our own well-being. Studies have shown that cultivating a mindset of gratitude can lead to increased happiness, improved mental health, and stronger relationships. When we focus on the good things in our lives and express appreciation for them, we shift our perspective towards positivity and abundance.

In conclusion, helping others and showing gratitude are two sides of the same coin – acts of kindness that enrich both the giver and the receiver. By extending a helping hand to those in need and expressing gratitude for the blessings in our lives, we contribute to a world filled with compassion, joy, and interconnectedness. So, let’s embrace the power of kindness and gratitude and make a positive difference in the lives of those around us. After all, as the saying goes, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”

Navigating Exam Stress: Tips for Aspirants

07/April/2024, SUN

For many students, the approach of examinations can bring about feelings of anxiety and stress. However, with the right strategies, it’s possible to manage stress effectively and perform your best on exams. Here are some simple yet effective tips for managing stress before examinations:

One of the best ways to reduce exam stress is to start preparing early. Procrastination often leads to last-minute cramming, which can increase anxiety levels. Create a study schedule that allows you to cover all the material well in advance of the exam date, giving yourself plenty of time to review and reinforce your understanding of the topics. So, ‘Start Preparing Early’.

Instead of trying to tackle everything at once, break your study sessions into manageable chunks. Focus on one topic or section at a time, setting small, achievable goals for each study session. This approach not only makes studying more manageable but

helps prevent feelings of overwhelm. So, break the study sessions into ‘Comfortable Zones’.

Incorporate mindfulness techniques into your daily routine to help calm your mind and reduce stress levels. Take short breaks during study sessions to practice deep breathing, meditation, or simple stretching exercises. Mindfulness can help you stay focused and centered, even during challenging study sessions. Hence, ‘Practice Mindfulness’.

Keep your study materials, notes, and resources organized to avoid unnecessary stress and frustration. Create a dedicated study space that is free from distractions and conducive to learning. Use tools like calendars, planners, or digital apps to track important dates and deadlines. Always ‘Stay Organized’.

Prioritize getting enough sleep, especially during the days leading up to exams. Lack of sleep can impair cognitive function, memory, and concentration, making it harder to perform well on exams. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to feel rested and refreshed. Remember ‘Adequate Rest and Sleep’ are a must.

Regular physical activity can help reduce stress, improve mood, and boost cognitive function. Incorporate exercise into your daily routine, whether it’s going for a walk, practicing yoga, or hitting the gym. Even short bursts of activity can have a positive impact on your overall well-being. ‘Stay Active’ by exercising and playing simple games.

Fuel your body and brain with nutritious foods that provide sustained energy and focus. Choose a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Avoid excessive caffeine, sugary snacks, and processed foods, which can lead to energy crashes and increased stress levels. ‘Eat Well’ to maintain the right energy levels.

Don’t hesitate to reach out for support if you’re feeling overwhelmed. Talk to friends, family members, or classmates about your feelings and concerns. Sometimes, simply sharing your thoughts with others can help alleviate stress and provide perspective. If you’re struggling with specific subjects or topics, consider seeking help from a teacher, tutor, or academic advisor. ‘Seek Support’ to clear doubts. Remember, even Einstein asked questions.

Maintain a positive attitude and believe in your ability to succeed. Avoid negative self-talk and focus on your strengths and accomplishments. Visualize yourself performing well on the exam and approach studying with confidence and determination. Be Optimistic and Stay Positive.

The Importance of Regular Sleep

This week round, I would like to tell one and all the importance of sleep and reiterate the perils caused by not sleeping enough.

Now a days, it is very well known that children, adolescents and adults as well are not paying much attention to the necessity of sleep; regular sleep. Many reasons are attributed to this issue. Some of the major ones are technology and screen time, irregular work time patterns, stress, anxiety caused by the hectic life schedules and the stimulants in many so called beverages and fast food et cetera.

Sleep is a fundamental aspect of human life, essential for our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It is during sleep that our bodies undergo crucial processes necessary for repair, growth, and consolidation of memories. While the exact amount of sleep required may vary from person to person, establishing a regular sleep routine is paramount for overall health.

Firstly, regular sleep is necessary to allow our bodies to rest and rejuvenate. Throughout the day, our bodies endure various physical and mental stresses.

Sleep provides an opportunity for muscles to repair, tissues to grow, and energy stores to replenish. Without adequate rest, our bodies become fatigued, making it difficult to function optimally.

Moreover, sleep plays a vital role in cognitive functions such as memory consolidation and learning. During sleep, the brain processes and stores information gathered throughout the day, strengthening neural connections that facilitate learning and problem-solving. Consistent sleep patterns are crucial for maintaining cognitive function, attention, and decision-making skills.

Additionally, regular sleep is essential for emotional regulation and mental health. Sleep deprivation can lead to irritability, mood swings, and increased stress levels. Chronic sleeplessness is also linked to mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety. By prioritizing regular sleep, individuals can better manage their emotions and maintain a positive outlook on life.

So, how much sleep is necessary? While individual needs vary, experts generally recommend 7-9 hours of sleep per night for adults. Children and teenagers may require even more, with recommendations ranging from 8-12 hours depending on age. It’s important to listen to your body and establish a sleep routine that allows you to wake up feeling refreshed and alert.

On the flip side, the disadvantages of sleeplessness can be severe. Short-term effects of sleep deprivation include impaired cognitive function, decreased productivity, and an increased risk of accidents. Long-term sleep deprivation is associated with a myriad of health problems, including obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and weakened immune function. Furthermore, chronic sleeplessness can negatively impact relationships, work performance, and overall quality of life.

So, I may not be wrong at all if I conclude that regular sleep is not just a luxury but a necessity for optimal health and well-being. By prioritizing a consistent sleep schedule and ensuring adequate rest, individuals can reap the numerous benefits of sleep, including improved physical health, enhanced cognitive function, and better emotional regulation. Conversely, neglecting sleep can have detrimental effects on both physical and mental health. Therefore, let’s make sleep a priority and embrace its transformative power in our lives.

The Significance of Co-Curricular Activities in Education

10/03/2024, SUN

Dear all,

This time round, I want to reiterate  the undeniable value of the co-Curricular activities in child’s education. This, I hope to be thought provoking for many students and parents.

Education is not confined to textbooks and classrooms; it extends beyond the realms of traditional academics. Co-curricular activities play a pivotal role in shaping well-rounded individuals. These activities, conducted outside the regular academic curriculum, are instrumental in fostering holistic development among students.

Firstly, co-curricular activities provide a platform for students to explore and nurture their talents and interests beyond the confines of the syllabus. Whether it’s participating in a debate, joining a sports team, or engaging in the arts, these activities enable students to discover their passions and strengths. This exploration aids in personal growth, helping students build self-confidence and a positive self-image.

Moreover, co-curricular activities contribute significantly to the development of essential life skills. Teamwork, communication, leadership, and time management are just a few examples of skills honed through active participation in these activities. Unlike the structured nature of the classroom, co-curricular settings present real-life scenarios, requiring students to adapt and collaborate effectively. These skills are not only crucial for academic success but also for thriving in the professional world.

In addition to fostering personal and interpersonal skills, co-curricular activities enhance physical health. Physical education classes, sports, and fitness programs promote an active lifestyle, instilling the importance of health and well-being. Regular physical activity not only improves physical fitness but also contributes to better mental health, concentration, and overall academic performance.

Furthermore, co-curricular activities play a pivotal role in promoting social cohesion and a sense of belonging among students. Clubs, societies, and events create a community beyond the classroom, fostering friendships and camaraderie. This sense of belonging is vital for a positive school experience, as it provides emotional support and a network of like-minded individuals.

Importantly, co-curricular activities offer a break from the monotony of academic studies, preventing burnout and fatigue. Engaging in activities outside the classroom provides a refreshing change of pace, rejuvenating students’ minds and enhancing their focus when they return to their studies. This balance between academics and extracurricular pursuits contributes to overall well-being and mental health.

The importance of co-curricular activities cannot be overstated; neither understated. These activities not only complement academic learning but also play a crucial role in shaping well-rounded individuals. They provide a platform for talent exploration, foster essential life skills, enhance physical health, promote social cohesion, and contribute to overall well-being. As educational institutions continue to recognize the significance of holistic development, co-curricular activities stand as integral components in nurturing the leaders and achievers of tomorrow.

Aesthetic Sense, and Integration of Art in Life

25/02/2024, SUN

Let me take some time to talk about something, that is not only dear to my heart but also integral to the development of every individual – the aesthetic sense and the integration of art into our lives.

Let’s start by understanding what aesthetic sense truly means. Aesthetic sense refers to our ability to appreciate and recognize beauty in the world around us. It’s about finding joy and inspiration in the colours of a sunset, the melody of a song, or the strokes of a painting. Developing a strong aesthetic sense is crucial as it enhances our quality of life, enriches our experiences, and fosters a deeper connection with the world.

Now, the integration of art into our lives is like adding a splash of colour to a blank canvas. Art is not just about paintings hanging in a gallery; it’s a dynamic force that surrounds us. It’s in the way we arrange our rooms, the melodies we hum, and even the way we express ourselves through dance or poetry.

Art has the power to evoke emotions, stimulate creativity, and broaden our perspectives. By integrating art into our daily routines, we infuse our lives with a sense of beauty and creativity that goes beyond the ordinary. It’s about finding art in the simple things, whether it’s the swirls of steam rising from a cup of tea or the laughter of children playing in the schoolyard.

As an educational institution, we recognize the importance of nurturing the artistic talents of our students. Our art programs are not just about creating future artists; they are about fostering a lifelong appreciation for creativity and beauty. Through art, we encourage our students to explore, experiment, and express themselves in ways that go beyond textbooks and exams.

By integrating art into our curriculum, we are not only preparing our students for future careers but also helping them become well-rounded individuals who can find joy and inspiration in every aspect of life. It’s about equipping them with the tools to navigate the complexities of the world with a creative and open mind.

In conclusion, let us strive to cultivate a strong aesthetic sense within ourselves and our children. Let us embrace the integration of art into our lives, recognizing its transformative power. As we embark on this journey, let us remember that a life infused with art is a life truly well-lived.

It is important that each and every child is skillful in using language effectively to convey ideas, emotions, or messages in a powerful and impactful manner. This in fact involves using the right combination of well-chosen words, appropriate tone and compelling delivery. To poster this skill among the children very effectively, the best possible tool is the stage in the school. Now, I would like to draw the focus of all to the great utility of the school stage.

The stage serves as a powerful platform for self-expression, particularly for children, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages them to showcase their unique talents. This dynamic space allows young minds to explore and communicate their thoughts, feelings, and abilities in a manner that transcends traditional learning methods.

For many children, the stage becomes a canvas upon which they paint their stories, dreams, and passions. Whether it’s through acting, singing, or dancing, the stage provides an avenue for self-discovery and the development of confidence. By allowing children to express themselves in front of an audience, we empower them to embrace their individuality and celebrate their inherent talents.

Moreover, the stage serves as a medium for fostering creativity and imagination. When children are encouraged to step onto the platform and share their talents, they are motivated to think outside the box, experiment with new ideas, and cultivate a sense of innovation. This not only enhances their artistic abilities but also nurtures critical thinking and problem-solving skills, crucial for their overall development.

The experience of using the stage for self-expression goes beyond mere performance; it instills essential life skills. As children engage in collaborative efforts to put together a performance, they learn the importance of cooperation and communication, skills that will undoubtedly benefit them in various aspects of their lives.

Furthermore, showcasing talents on stage provides a sense of accomplishment and builds self-esteem. When children receive positive feedback and applause from an audience, it reinforces their self-worth and motivates them to continue exploring their capabilities. Crucial Role of “Homework”

#Founders’ Pen

Homework plays a crucial role in a student’s academic journey, offering a range of benefits that contribute to their overall growth and development. It serves as an extension of classroom learning and nurtures essential skills and habits that prepare children for success in both their academic and future professional endeavors.

Firstly, homework reinforces classroom lessons by providing students with the opportunity to practice and apply what they have learned. This repetition enhances comprehension and retention of the material. It encourages independent thinking, problem-solving, and critical analysis, as students tackle assignments on their own.

Homework also encourages self-discipline and responsibility. Completing assignments on time requires commitment and dedication, teaching students the importance of accountability for their actions. This, in turn, contributes to the development of a strong work ethic.

Furthermore, homework can bridge the gap between home and school, fostering a positive connection between parents and their child’s education. Parents gain insights into their child’s progress and challenges, enabling them to provide the necessary support and guidance.

In conclusion, homework serves as a valuable tool in a student’s educational journey. It reinforces learning, hones essential life skills, and fosters responsibility and discipline. While its benefits are undeniable, a mindful approach to homework assignment is crucial to ensure it remains a positive and effective aspect of a student’s learning experience.

Absenteeism – Effects on Childs Progress in Education

#Founders Pen

Attending school every day might seem like a tedious routine, but it is super important. Student absenteeism, which means missing school without a valid reason, can lead to serious problems. First, the students miss out on learning new things and getting good grades.

Teachers explain lessons, and classmates discuss ideas – if they are not there, they lose out!

Second, friends help their peers grow, and if one absents a lot, he / she might miss making great friends. Social skills are important for life, and school is a place to practice them.

When they are not there, they miss chances to learn teamwork and communication.

Third, school prepares the students for the future. Jobs need people who are responsible and punctual. If the students miss school, they might get used to being lazy and late.

This could hurt them later on when they are trying to find a job or succeed in college.

In conclusion, skipping school might seem cool, but it’s not. Students miss learning, friendship, and important life skills.

It is our collective responsibility to see that every child is present and engaged, so that they can have a brighter future.

Bullying, an Intolerable Hazard

Founder’s Pen ( Sunday )

This week, I would like to address a matter of great concern – bullying within school premises. Fortunately, we do not face this problem in any of our Greenwood Schools. Still, I feel compelled to pen these few words that may be of great help to one and all in case of need.

Bullying is a grave issue that not only affects the immediate well-being of the victims but also has long-lasting impacts on their emotional, psychological, and academic development.

Bullying takes various forms, from physical to verbal, and now even in the digital realm. So, recognizing signs of bullying is crucial – look for changes in behavior, reluctance to attend school, unexplained injuries, or a drop in academic performance.

Once identified, it’s essential to handle bullying with sensitivity and utmost care. Open communication channels are the key – encourage students to confide in parents, teachers, or counsellors. Educate them about the difference between tattling and seeking help.

As responsible educators and parents, it is our duty to create an environment that is safe, inclusive, and free from fear for our children wherever they are.

I would like to reiterate the fact that parents’ involvement is crucial. Monitor your child’s behavior and encourage positive interactions. Together, we can create an environment where bullying has no place, and our children can grow with confidence and compassion.

Thank you for your unwavering support in all our endeavours.

Parents Role

Parents play a pivotal role in shaping the character and moral compass of their children. From the earliest stages of development, parents serve as role models and guides, instilling values, beliefs, and behaviors that lay the foundation for a child’s character.

First and foremost, parents model behaviors and attitudes that children observe and emulate. Children learn empathy, kindness, honesty, and resilience by observing how their parents interact with others and handle challenges. Parents who demonstrate respect for others and show compassion create an environment conducive to character development.

Furthermore, communication is vital in character building. Open and meaningful conversations between parents and children allow for discussions on ethical dilemmas, decision-making, and personal values. Parents can encourage critical thinking and empathy by engaging in these discussions and fostering a safe space for their children to express their thoughts.

Discipline and boundaries also contribute to character formation. Consistent and fair discipline teaches children about responsibility, accountability, and the consequences of their actions. Setting boundaries helps children understand the importance of respecting rules and the rights of others.

Additionally, parents can expose their children to diverse experiences and perspectives, broadening their horizons and promoting tolerance and understanding. Encouraging involvement in community service or volunteering cultivates a sense of social responsibility and compassion for others.

Thus, parents are the primary architects of their children’s character. Through their words, actions, guidance, and support, parents mold the moral and ethical framework that shapes the individuals their children become. It is a profound responsibility that, when undertaken thoughtfully and consistently, contributes to the betterment of both the child and society at large.

India’s Freedom Struggle, a glorious chapter

We are at the fag end of July. In the month of August, we mark our Independence Day on 15th and we fondly remember our cherished goals of independence movement and the leaders who were at forefront in that glorious chapter of India’s freedom struggle.

As kids, we were looking forward to Independence Day with lots of fervour every year. Various competitions in schools and preparations for Independence Day celebrations used to fill us with patriotic spirit and our commitment to the wellbeing of our nation and society used to be renewed, right? But, have you noticed it is increasingly become another day, even more sadly, a holiday, for these generations? What do you think has changed?

Perhaps, Globalization an eraser of boundaries among the people and nations, all thanks to social media and internet, might be at work to feel less connected to one’s nation. It is important for all of us parents to instill the patriotic spirit in the children. children are blindsided to history. The full extent of history of India’s freedom struggle is known to students only after they reach higher classes. It does not mean that we cannot do anything about it.

India’s independence movement is read with great reverence all over the world for the peaceful means it adopted to free itself from the British clutches while other nations witnessed lot of bloodshed for the same. It is a glorious chapter — to fight lawfully with the oppressor — in the history of mankind; it is our rich heritage.

As a nation we are yet to achieve the goals, we set out for ourselves. The task of building a nation free of hunger, poverty, and illiteracy is still ahead of all of us. The onus of carrying forward the hard-earned freedom and building a strong India lies on the shoulders of future generations.

How can we expect this wonderful journey to continue unless we incalculate patriotism and feelings for nation in the young minds! Parents can play a major role in a child’s understanding of the surroundings.

Let us resolve to talk to our children about our country and the values that define our freedom struggle.

Teach children the importance of health and wellbeing

On the 1st of August, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be conferred Lokmanya Tilak National Award in Pune. The Award is named after Bal Gangadhar Tilak, the first nationalist leader who strongly advocated self-rule with the slogan “Swaraj is my birthright I shall have it.”  Unlike the most other first-generation national leaders who happened to be foreign educated, Tilak had completed his education in India. He has a distinct name in the India’s freedom struggle for his ingenuity.

Tilak, in his autobiography writes that when he was a teenager, as he had started to understand the colonial rule and India’s lack of freedom, he reflected how he can contribute to the country. To his shock, he realized that he was too weak physically to do anything for himself, forget about the nation. He immediately resolved to start doing exercises and grow in strength physically. And, the rest is history to all of us. He endured jail in India and Burma but never compromised on his goal to see India as free country, and went on to be a prominent freedom fighter.

There is a lesson for all of us: students, teachers, parents and everyone else to learn from the life of Tilak. Health and fitness are important for everyone; more so for the students who are aspiring to achieve something in life. Parents are the first role models for a child to think about health and wellbeing. If parents follow a healthy routine like taking healthy food and doing some physical activity children are likely to imbibe it, and make it part of their life. Even if the parents can’t afford to follow an active lifestyle, they can enthuse children by talking to them about the importance of health and encouraging them to include some sort of physical activity in their daily life.

For the kind of hectic academic calendar and rigorous routine students have, it’s better if they have some daily dose of stress buster. What could be better than some sort of physical activity for a stress reliever? Encourage your child to walk, jog, run or swim, or play a sport of their choice for an hour a day. If they are keen, join them in a sporting academy for their preferred sport.

Parents have a significant role to play in the healthy and active lifestyle of children, and they must do their bit for the overall wellbeing of a child.

Ensure Child’s online Safety  and Safeguard the Childhood

Do you monitor your child’s online activities?

Many of us do not, for the good reason of not encroaching into child’s space or not to meddle with their privacy. But, it might leave your child in distress for the reasons of   online harassment, abuse, and bullying. Have you ever thought about it?

Easy availability of mobile devices and increased internet connectivity has definitely democratized access to information, particularly to students, but the same also made children more vulnerable. The anonymity the internet and social media offers make everyone take anyone’s identity online and get in touch and engage in conversation with everyone.

Young children, prone to easy influence, are at the risk of getting in contact with wrong people who predate the vulnerable. Also, with easy spread of memes and caricatures online, the classroom issues are often finding a venting on social media platforms. Cyber bullying is on the rise all over the world for the same reasons.

Some students, when snubbed or rejected, are resorting to spreading false information about people in class and school online groups, which are widely in use over various social media platforms causing mental agony and trauma.

Even WhatsApp is a potential source for misguiding the children as many fake things and propaganda can be easily circulated over it. Making the child to learn to verify before believing anything circulated on WhatsApp to be true is the way to save children from undue influence.

Since various dangers are lurking over the social media, it is better to keep a tab on children’s online activities but without encroaching into their space. Also, speaking to children about the possible dangers over the social media and internet and making them aware of the need to be vigilant is advisable.

The best thing would be creating a healthy atmosphere at home where these issues are openly discussed and remedial measures proactively sought.

At the turn of the century, the advent of new technological interventions in all aspects of life has influenced the education significantly. Comparing to the conventional degrees, skills one acquired have started playing a greater role in one’s career development. Emphasizing the same to children at every opportunity would be wise thing to do. Also, providing the necessary suitable environment for students to master skills set and excel at the same proves to be a boon for the beautiful future for students.

It may sound troublesome, but parents keeping a tab on what’s going around and passing the information to students since the young age makes the children feel secure about themselves and the best would easily come out from them.

New Beginning for the New Academic Year 2023-24

Dear Students and Parents,

Finally, the much awaited Monsoon has hit our region and brought a respite from the scorching sun. Around the same time, new academic year has begun too. It’s time for parents and students to get back to that demanding routine, after a month long summer vacation.

Beginning of the academic year presents new challenges, I understand, but also new opportunities, I say.

For the students, it’s an opportunity to start a fresh, leaving behind the last year and last year experiences and set new goals, academic or personal, for the forth coming year. Of course, review, an honest and sincere one, of the last year performance and achievements to take confidence and get going on is always advisable.

When one prepare a plan for the next academic year, keeping the lessons learnt last year in mind and planning not to repeat the mistakes are better be ensured. Remember, each academic year takes you closer to realizing your career and life goals. Wise are those who would see the larger picture and build themselves for the future.

It’s easy to build a wall brick by brick over a period of time than to build it over night.  Likewise, those who build them every year, grow competent enough to deal with any situation and emerge as winners from adverse situations too. So, realize that new academic year is new opportunity to grow and build for that desired future.

For parents, this time of the year is a troublesome period as students who are used to holidays don’t readily change their routine and cooperate. Motivating them to go to school, do homework and complete their assignments on time would be challenging, I reckon. But, it is also of paramount important to follow up with students until they get used to. It’s best if parents can reach out to the school and teachers to discuss the academic plans of the year and encourage the child follow accordingly.

For higher classes, particularly for Class X students, guiding the students to prepare a plan of approach and daily schedule and keeping them motivated to follow the same diligently works wonderful.

I extend my warmest best wishes to everyone for the upcoming academic year.

Consume and Conserve WATER

# SUMMER #SUMMER #WATER #WATER

As the scorching summer days are approaching fast, I take this responsibility of educating my students and dear parents on the need of proper water intake and create awareness on the consequences of un-necessary consumption of WATER RESOURCES.

Water is the foundation of our existence. The human body needs water for the day to day survival. Moreover, our body itself comprises of 70% water. This, in turn, helps our body to function normally.

Thus, the lack of sufficient water or consumption of contaminated water can cause serious health problems for humans. Therefore, the amount and quality of water which we consume is essential for our physical health plus fitness. It is said that every human being should consume at least 8 liters of water to keep hydrated.

Further, our daily activities are incomplete without water. Whether we talk about getting up in the morning to brush or cooking our food, it is equally important. If we look beyond human uses, we will realize how water plays a major role in every living beings life. It is the home of aquatic animals..

Therefore, we see how not only human beings but plants and animals too require water. The earth depends on water to function. We cannot be selfish and use it up for our uses without caring about the environment.

A world without water

Water is not only required for our survival but for a healthy and happy life as well. Everyone has seen the scenario of water-deprived countries like Africa, where citizens are leading a miserable life. It is time for everyone to wake up and realize the urgency of conserving water. Water is the basic necessity for the functioning of all life forms that exist on earth. It is safe to say that water is the reason behind earth being the only planet to support life. This universal solvent is one of the major resources we have on this planet. It is impossible for life to function without water.

In other words, a world without water would make the human race impossible to last. The same can be said for all the animals and plants. In fact, the whole earth will suffer without water.

Firstly, the greenery will soon diminish. When earth won’t get water, all the vegetation will die and turn into barren land. The occurrence of different seasons will soon cease. The earth will be caught in one big endless summer. All forms of living organisms will go extinct if we do not conserve water right away.

In conclusion, unnecessary usage of water must be stopped at once. Every single person must work to conserve water and restore the balance. If not, we all know what the consequences are going to be.
