Erragattugutta @ Greenwood Group of Schools :‘Unity Day’ (Ekta Diwas) was celebrated connesurating with the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the ‘Iron Man of India’.
This celebration was graced by our Director, Sri. Dr. Bharadwaja Naidu, Academic Principal Sri V.V.V Naveen Kumar and Administrative Principal Sri T. Pavan Kumar. The Academic principal Sri VVV Naveen Kumar reiterated the importance of the ‘Unity Day’. Some of the students spoke about the life and achievements of the Sardar, in particular the role played by Patel in amalgamating Hyderabad State in Bharath desh. Our Director Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu fecilitated and congratulated the ‘Best Student of the Month’ from each of the classes. The following is the list of the winners of this award.

Reflecting the jubilance of the teachers and the students regarding these awards, our Director Sir announced a new award to the students ; “The Most Helpful Student’. Further cheering up the students and the School Physical Education Department, our beloved Director Sir announced the date sheet for the much awaited ‘Annual Winter Sports Carnival’ which is going to be flagged off on 14 November 2022, commiserating the Birth Anniversary of Cha Cha Nehru. Thus, today’s celebrations came to an end with lot of cheer and expectations.
On 30th October in indian South karate championship 🏆 Greenwood Mancherial students excelled thier performances and achieved 9 Gold medals, 11 silver medals and 21 bronze medals..
Hunter Road (Greenwood High School) : To remove the darkness of ignorance within us and replace it with the light of hope and knowledge instead. The festival of lights came alive at The Greenwood High School on 22ndOctober 2022, when the pre primary and the primary school wore a festive look with children wearing colourful dresses.
The Program began as the Dignitaries were invited on the stage. Welcome was given to them by the children. We started the main event with the Prayer led by the LKG children, followed by speeches and slogan by UKG children.
Whats a program with a little dance and music. The first dance performed was done by the kids of nursery and pre-primary. Following by a musical song from UKG.
Students of Grade 1st and 2nd came up with heart felt Slogan on Diwali and kept the enthusiasm on the students awake. A dance performance was done by grade 1st children.
A very interesting story was told by Adity on the festival Diwali. Followed by an amazing footwork of Grade 2 children. To help the younger one learn a drama was performed by the senior primary students of Grade 4th and 5th so help the others learn the Value of Diwali.
Lastly a Dance was performed by Grade 3rd and 5th students. The function conclude with a message by School principal Ms.Manjula Rani,who offered her warm wishes to the children and reiterated that children should celebrate a pollution free Diwali and if they want to burn the crackers ,only few they can that to in the presence of the elders only.
On 22nd October Saturday Diwali is celebrated in a grand manner.. Chairman of Greenwood Group of Schools Dr. G . Bharadwaja Naidu sir graced the occasion with his presence and addressed the children about Diwali..

Erragattugutta ( Main Campus ) : Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, or Vinayaka Chavithi is a major festival commemorating the birth of the god Ganesha. This has been a nine-day long festival. This being the most loved festival of the children, it has become a tradition to celebrate this festival with lot of fervour and enthusiasm by the students of Greenwood inside the campus. The festival is marked with the installation of a large size clay murti (idol) of Ganesha on the dais in the Greenwood Open Auditorium.
All the members of the Greenwood family were invited to take part in the puja. On the first day of this festival, both the directors of the school; Sri. Ch. Dharma Reddy and Sri Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu and the first ladies of the school; Smt. Ch. Jyothi and Smt. G. Padma Sri took part in the Puja along with the Academic Principal Sr. VVV Naveen Kumar and the Administrative Principal Sri T. Pavan Kumar , C.A.OA .Prabhu Kumar and several others.
Besides regular Pujas, every day in the evening a Bhajana (prayer with chanting and clapping) has been performed. Sri. Jampala Ramesh from the Department of Telugu had performed a Purana Kaalaakshepam in which many members of the staff and all the children took part. Sri Ramesh has taken a stories from our Ramayanam, Mahabharatham and Bhagavad Gita and imparted a sense of wisdom and knowledge among the children. It is no exaggeration if it is said that each day the children waited eagerly for this program.
The final day of this festival is known as the Nimmajjanam Day. Nimajjanam means the immersion of the Idol that has been worshiped on all these days during this festival. On this day in the evening the Idol of Lord Ganesh has been placed on an elevated platform of a motor vehicle. A procession of the students and staff followed Lord Ganesh around the school ground. Songs and dances were the main attraction of this procession. The children followed the Ganesha up to the main entrance of the Greenwood and from there the some of the Greenwood staff carried the procession upto a very big lake in Hasanparthy where the Idol was finally immersed.

Erragattugutta (Main Campus) : Lord Vinayaka is the Lord who helps all gain knowledge. He is known to remove obstacles. At Greenwood the traditional prayer is held with the Idol of Vinayaka installed in the campus on 31-09-2022.
The children are given a spiritual message daily by the Jampala Ramesh, of Telugu Department from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. He talks on the values we can have through the reading of good literature.
He explains the stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharatha. The stories of the child devotees, Prahalada, Dhruva and Markandeya are retold to them. The traditional prayer and bhajana is also a part of the daily activities over the Ganesh Navarathri period from 31.08.2022 to 9.9.2022
The Director Dr. G.Bharadwaja Naidu speaks to children on all days of the festivities to instil moral values, learn the culture and to be bold as a leader.
GREENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL HEAD BOY, HEAD GIRL and the House Secretaries of various posts of the STUDENT COUNCIL -2022-23 , took oath on 21ST SEPTEMBER before the CHIEF ELECTION COMMISSIONER Shri. Dr. G. BHARADWAJA NAIDU .
The oath taking ceremony was held at the school campus, which was attended by Dr. Girrem Bharadwaja Naidu, the Director as well as the CEC , Mr. V.V.V Naveen Kumar, the Academic Principal , Mr. T. Pavan Kumar, the Administrative Principal , Mr. Ranjith Behera, the Election Commissioner, Mr. Satheesan Achari, the Returning Officer and other teaching and non-teaching staff.
Earlier in the month of July, the election to the Head Boy and Head Girl – 2022-23 was held in the campus. Lakkam Karthik of Xth Aryabhatta and K. Jashmitha of Xth Kalam was elected as the Head Boy and the Head Girl respectively. G. Bhardwaja Naidu, the Chief Election Commissioner administered the oath of office to them.
Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, the School Director, had on the ceremony highlighted why this election was conducted, saying that he would ensure the smooth functioning of the School through a Self-Governing body of the students . He said it is very essential to bring self-discipline among the students through such Council.
The Academic Principal Mr. VVV. Naveen Kumar , in his speech said, the conducting of Democratic Election is very essential process in our country as it is the largest Democratic Country of the world. The School election was a part of teaching how do democratic elections take place and what are the roles and responsibilities of the elected representatives.
The Administrative Principal Mr. T. Pavan Kumar said that the involvement of students in the day-to-day process of the School governing, will bring excellent output as the students can understand better the problems of them and they can solve it by bringing such issues to the notice of the School Management.
