Sri Krishna Janmashtami Celebration @ Greenwood: A Delightful Day of Devotion
Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated on August 16, 2025, with great fervour at Greenwood High School, Hasanparthy, where the campus turned festive with decorations, lights, and colourful pictures depicting the life of Lord Krishna. The celebration brought Festive Spirit on Campus.
Ceremonial Beginning
The programme began at 3 p.m. with a traditional pooja conducted by Mr. M. Ranga Rao, Mathematics teacher. The celebration was graced by the presence of Director Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, Chief Administrative Officer Sri. A. Prabhu Kumar, Academic Principal Sri. V. V. V. Naveen Kumar, Administrative Principal Sri. T. Pavan Kumar, Vice Principal Sri V. SureshKumar, and Academic Coordinators Smt. P. Kanthi and Sri. T Phanindra, along with other invited guests.
Vibrant Performances
Students added charm to the occasion with dance performances dressed as gopikas, recreating the Vrindavan spirit.
Thrill of Dahi Handi
The highlight of the afternoon was the Dahi Handi, which drew cheers from the crowd as groups of students enthusiastically tried to break the pot of curd tied up high. Separate arrangements were made for juniors, seniors, boys, and girls, allowing everyone to take part. Live commentary by anchors ________ and _________added excitement and kept the audience engaged till evening.
Sweet Moments
The dignitaries later shared sweets and refreshments with staff and students, making the day even more memorable.
A Soulful Evening
In the evening, the school once again gathered for pooja, followed by a peaceful hour of bhajans led by Mr. J. Ramesh, Telugu teacher, in the open-air auditorium. The devotional singing filled the campus with a serene atmosphere, bringing the celebrations to a soulful close.

The spirit of devotion and cultural vibrancy illuminated Greenwood High School, Mancherial, as the institution celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with grandeur and reverence on Tuesday, 26th August 2025.
The event was meticulously organized under the guidance of Principal Mr. Chandramohan and Vice Principal Mr. G. Thirupathi, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all grades.
A Sacred Beginning
The celebration commenced with a soulful invocation, as the anchors A. Sri Sahasra and Aadhya Chenna rendered an auspicious welcome shloka, invoking divine blessings. The ceremonial offering of coconut and flowers set a devotional tone for the proceedings.
Cultural Brilliance
A series of cultural performances brought together tradition, creativity, and artistry:
- Sacred Shlokas, devotional songs, and graceful dances reflected the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi.
- The youngest learners charmed the audience, with Sri Aadhya (Grade 1) reciting shlokas and Nihaan Writham (UKG) narrating a captivating story.
- Classical dance performances by Mahalaxmi and Shasruchitha, followed by Thanushri and Sri Nithya, showcased elegance and talent.
- Festive group dances, melodious devotional songs, and delightful Vinayaka get-ups by Virat, Dhrithisri, Viyan, and Riyan filled the atmosphere with joy.

A Proud Moment for Greenwood
The school community celebrated a remarkable achievement as Navulla Sri Mahalakshmi (Grade 3) secured a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for her outstanding dance performance. She was felicitated by Principal Mr. Chandramohan, who also congratulated her proud parents for this extraordinary accomplishment.
A Memorable Conclusion
The program’s crescendo included a thought-provoking skit guided by Mahender Sir, a harmonious group song by senior students, and a mesmerizing solo dance performance by Dikshita.
In his concluding address, Principal Mr. Chandramohan emphasized the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices during Ganesh Chaturthi, encouraging students to blend tradition with sustainability.

When we speak, our tone of voice, pauses, and expressions help others understand what we mean. In the same way, punctuation does this job for us in writing. It adds clarity, rhythm, and life to our words.
Without punctuation, writing becomes confusing. Imagine reading a page with no commas, no full stops, and no question marks—it would feel like running a long race without a single break. Punctuation gives our sentences structure and makes the meaning clear.
It also helps us share feelings. A question mark shows curiosity, an exclamation mark adds excitement, and a comma gives the reader a short pause to think. These small marks may look simple, but they carry a big responsibility in communication.

Greenwood High School, Hasanparthy, wore a festive look on 15th August 2025 Friday morning as it celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic zeal and vibrant cultural displays.
Arrival and Guard of Honour
The celebrations began with the arrival of the dignitaries who were welcomed onto the dais with a ceremonial Guard of Honour. The chief guests for the occasion were Sri. Ch. Dharma Reddy and Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, Hon’ble Directors of the institution. They were joined by Sri. G. Yellappa Naidu, Sri. A. Prabhu Kumar (General Manager), Sri. V.V.V. Naveen Kumar (Academic Principal), Sri. T. Pavan Kumar (Administrative Principal), Sri. V. Suresh Kumar (Vice Principal), and academic coordinators Sri. M. Phanindra and Sri. P. Kanthi.
Tributes, Flag Hoisting and Parade
The programme commenced with prayers and floral tributes to freedom fighters. This was followed by the hoisting of the National Flag by the chief guests, amid the singing of the National Anthem by the assembled students and staff. The school’s marching contingents presented a parade, drawing applause for their discipline and synchrony.
Speeches by Dignitaries
The dignitaries delivered thought-provoking and inspiring messages, each touching on themes of patriotism, education, and responsibility.
Sri. Ch. Dharma Reddy, Hon’ble Director, urged students to work with dedication and sincerity for the nation’s progress. He expressed his pride in Greenwood alumni who have made their mark in different parts of the world, sharing how he had been pleasantly surprised on several occasions when former students greeted him unexpectedly in various countries and workplaces.
Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, Hon’ble Director, reflected on the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters and called upon everyone to uphold the values of democracy. Expressing his amazement at India’s rapid development in recent times, he also touched upon the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence across various fields. However, he firmly stated that the noble profession of teaching stands apart and cannot be replaced by any technology, for it shapes not only intellect but also character.
Sri. G. Yellappa Naidu emphasized the role of education in building a strong and self-reliant India. Reminiscing about his own school days, he fondly recalled how his teachers encouraged students to visit villages and inspire people to contribute to the freedom movement in different ways. His anecdotes brought alive the spirit of those times, bridging the gap between past struggles and present aspirations.
Sri. A. Prabhu Kumar, General Manager, motivated students to set high goals and maintain discipline as a guiding principle in life. He expressed his delight at having Sri. G. Yellappa Naidu in attendance, noting that he had recently celebrated his 96th birthday and was a living witness to the days of the independence struggle.
Speeches by Teachers and Students
Teachers, including Mr. G. Krishna Rao, Mr. M. Ranga Rao, Mr. K. Yakub Reddy, Mr. T. Vijaykanth, Mr. Ranjith Behra, Mr. S. Kiran, Mr. A. Venu Kumar, Mrs. Ayesha, and Mrs. Sarala, shared their thoughts, blending patriotic messages with motivating advice.
Student speakers such as K. Avanthika (IX Sushrutha), K. Harshavardhan Reddy (X Satish Dhawan), Pallek Gollewar (IX Sushrutha), S. Keerthana (IX Hawking), L. Thanisha (X Bhatnagar), L. Jaya Vaishnavi and P. Shreyu(X Bhatnagar) B. Karthika (VI Aristotle) B. Jithender (VII Tesla)and others expressed their pride in the nation through powerful speeches that resonated with the audience reflecting their love for the country.
Prize Distribution
The day also honoured talent and achievement through Prize Distribution in various categories:
- Drawing Competition Winners – Recognising artistic expressions of patriotism across Classes IV–X.
- High Achiever Awards – Felicitating toppers of Periodic Assessment–1 with Medal of Academic Excellence and cheque worth Rs.500/-
- Essay Writing Competition Winners – Celebrating the creativity and expression of young minds.
- Elocution Competition Winners – Acknowledging the eloquence and confidence of students.
- Prizes by Honda Motors – Awards for road safety games and awareness activities, including Snakes and Ladders, Matching Signals and Symbols, Active Participation, and Bike Ride winners.
The applause and cheers for each winner created a joyous and proud atmosphere.
Cultural Extravaganza
The cultural segment was a vibrant tribute to India’s unity in diversity. It added colour to the morning’s proceedings.
- Dance performances ranged from the soulful “Made in India” by Class IV & V girls to energetic numbers like “Kandhon Se Milte Hain” by Class VIII, “Challa Mai Lad Jaana” by Class IX, and “India Wale” by Class X.
- Skits such as “Wings of Will” conveyed strong patriotic messages.
- Special tribute performances like “PadavoiBharathiyuda,” “Salam India,” and “Vandemataram” mesmerised the audience.
- The Dumbbells, Hoops, Leizem dances, and Pyramids presented by students showcased discipline, teamwork, and physical prowess under the mentorship of PET staff.

Greenwood High School, Mancherial branch, celebrated the 79th Independence Day of our nation with grandeur and patriotic fervour under the able guidance of Principal Mr. R. Chandramohan and Vice Principal Mr. G. Thirupathi. The day commenced at 8:00 a.m. with the ceremonial welcome of the dignitaries, marked by an impressive march past led by the school’s P.E.T., Mr. M. Sagar.
The programme began with a soul-stirring rendition of Vande Mataram by the school choir, followed by🇮🇳🇮🇳 the flag hoisting ceremony performed by the PrincipalMr. R. Chandramohan accompanied by the National Anthem sung in unison by all present. Principal Mr. R. Chandramohan then addressed the gathering, inspiring students with his words on the significance of freedom and the responsibility it brings.
🌟 A special attraction of the day was the beautifully decorated dais, artistically designed by 🎨🎨🎨Art Teacher Mr. J. Suresh, which created an ambience of patriotism and elegance, drawing admiration from everyone present. 🌟

Greenwood High School came alive with the vibrant spirit of patriotism as students and staff gathered in the assembly area to celebrate the nation’s Independence Day. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and unity as we warmly welcomed our esteemed dignitaries — Director Challa Dharma Reddy sir, Director Dr. G. Bhardwaja Nadu, Vice Principal Srikanth Sir, and ACO Rajeshwari Ma’am.
The celebration began with our respected Director Sir hoisting the National Flag, igniting a deep sense of pride and patriotism in every heart present. This was followed by the soul-stirring rendition of the National Anthem, sung in perfect harmony by the entire gathering.
Students from both the Primary and High School sections delivered powerful speeches that reflected their love for the country and their vision for its future. The stage then lit up with a series of incredible group dance performances and melodious group songs, each one showcasing the cultural diversity and unity of our great nation.
In the days leading up to the celebration, Elocution and Drawing competitions were held, encouraging students to express their creativity and thoughts on patriotism. The winners of these events were felicitated during the program, adding an extra spark of joy to the occasion.
The event concluded with a sense of pride and inspiration, reminding everyone that while freedom is our right, preserving it is our responsibility. Director sir inspired the gathering with his words. Greenwood High School once again stood together as one family, honoring the sacrifices of our heroes and celebrating the spirit of India.

Greenwood High School, Naimnagar Campus, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event was graced by the presence of the school’s esteemed Directors, Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu Garu and Ch. Dharma Reddy Garu, who were the chief guests for the occasion.
The celebrations commenced with the garlanding of national leaders by the Directors, followed by the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem, which filled the atmosphere with pride and reverence.
The students showcased their patriotism through vibrant cultural performances, including dances to patriotic songs, stirring speeches, and soulful renditions of national songs, leaving the audience inspired and emotional.
In recognition of academic excellence, the Directors appreciated and felicitated the students who performed exceptionally well in the recently conducted Periodic Assessment-1 (PA-1) by presenting them with mementoes and certificates.

Raksha Bandhan Celebrations at Greenwood @Mancherial
Under the able guidance of Principal Mr. R. Chandramohan and Vice Principal Mr. G. Thirupathi, Greenwood High School, Mancherial, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great joy and enthusiasm, reflecting the true spirit of the festival.
The day’s events began with the gathering of students and staff on the school ground. The program was formally announced by Mr. B. Sravan Kumar, Biology teacher, who warmly welcomed everyone. The celebration was gracefully anchored by B. Hanika and Karthikeya, whose lively presence kept the audience engaged throughout.
The sequence of performances commenced with an English speech by V. Adhyay of Grade 8, highlighting the cultural and emotional significance of Raksha Bandhan. This was followed by the pre-primary Rakhi tying ceremony, symbolizing innocence, love, and the pure bond between siblings.
D. Shreyan then delivered a touching speech in Telugu, after which Rishith Sai of Grade 8 and Rakul Chandra of Grade 5 presented a delightful conversation about Rakhi, charming the audience with their expressions and dialogue.
The primary students took the stage next with an energetic dance performance choreographed by Mrs. Saba and Mrs. Sheetal, winning the hearts of everyone present. This was followed by a joint Telugu speech by Samanya Sri and Seejal of Grade 8, and an English speech by Lineesha, each expressing the festival’s values from different perspectives.
The high school students then delivered a captivating dance performance choreographed by Mrs. Rajitha and Mrs. Tejaswi, blending tradition with vibrant moves. Mr. Venkateshwaru, Telugu faculty, shared his thoughts in a meaningful speech, while Mrs. Anuradha addressed the gathering in Hindi, adding linguistic and cultural diversity to the program.
One of the most heartfelt moments was the female teachers tying Rakhis to male teachers, reinforcing the theme of respect, unity, and affection beyond familial bonds. The Principal, Mr. Chandramohan, then addressed the gathering, appreciating the participants and encouraging students to uphold the values symbolized by Raksha Bandhan.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Anand, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to making the event memorable.
The entire program beautifully portrayed the cultural richness, emotional warmth, and spirit of togetherness that Raksha Bandhan stands for.

From tiny Nursery to Class 7 students, the school was enlightening with children dressed in their finest traditional attire. Smiling girls lovingly tied Rakhis on the wrists of the boys, who in return shared sweets, making the moment even sweeter.
The celebration wasn’t just for the students—teachers, support staff, and even parents joined in. In a touching gesture, the Principal and staff tied Rakhis to a few parents and support staff, reminding everyone that Raksha Bandhan is not only about brothers and sisters, but about cherishing and protecting every special bond. Monsoon: a Gift of Nature
Monsoon is a special kind of wind that brings a lot of rain. In many countries like India, the monsoon season starts around June and lasts till September. These winds blow from the sea to the land and carry a large amount of moisture with them. When the clouds become heavy, it starts raining. This season is known for heavy rains, thunder, and cool breezes after the hot summer.
Monsoons bring many changes in our surroundings. The weather becomes cooler, and the air smells fresh. Trees and plants look greener and healthier. Rivers, ponds, and lakes get filled with rainwater. People enjoy the change after a long, hot summer. Children like to play in the rain, and many families enjoy eating hot snacks like pakodies during rainy days. The entire environment looks bright and beautiful.
However, monsoons can also bring some troubles. Sometimes it rains too much and causes floods. Floods can destroy houses, roads, and even farms. People living in low-lying areas suffer the most. Their homes get filled with water, and they may lose their belongings. Heavy rains can also cause traffic jams and water logging in cities. Many diseases like malaria and dengue also spread during the rainy season because of dirty, stagnant water. Landslides in hilly areas are another serious problem during monsoon.
Even with these problems, monsoons are very important for our earth. Rainwater helps to refill rivers and underground water levels. This water is used for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. Without rain, many places would face water shortage. Rain also helps clean the air by removing dust and pollution. Trees and plants grow faster during this season, which adds more oxygen to the air and helps balance nature.
Most importantly, monsoons are very important for farmers and agriculture. Farmers depend on rainfall to grow crops like rice, sugarcane, cotton, and pulses. These crops need a lot of water to grow well. If the monsoon comes late or brings very little rain, crops may dry up, and farmers suffer huge losses. On the other hand, good rainfall can bring joy to farmers and lead to a good harvest. Monsoons also help in maintaining the fertility of the soil. The rain mixes nutrients deep into the soil, making it rich and ready for growing food.
Indeed monsoons are a gift of nature. They bring beauty, joy, and much-needed water to the land. Though they come with some difficulties, their benefits are far greater. We must learn to use monsoon water wisely and protect our environment to enjoy its full benefits. Saving rainwater through rainwater harvesting and keeping our surroundings clean during the rainy season are some ways we can respect and make the best use of this precious season.
Remember that they demand us to keep our raincoats and umbrellas ready. They also warn us ‘Don’t get wet!’

As part of our Saturday Funday activity, the creative hands of our young Greenwooodians wove magic into threads, crafting beautiful rakhis with love and imagination. Today, the campus bloomed in festive spirit as we celebrated Raksha Bandhan – a festival that strengthens the threads of love, care and protection.
The celebration was graced by our Vice Principal, Mr. Srikanth, and ACO, Mrs. Rajeshwari, whose presence added warmth and encouragement to the occasion. In a heartwarming gesture, the students also tied rakhis to our Vice Principal, symbolizing the bond of respect, guidance and affection that they share with their mentors.
The children arrived in radiant traditional attire, looking like a flutter of colourful butterflies, bringing life and vibrance to every corner of the school. Laughter and joy echoed as the girls adorned their brothers and friends with tilak, tied their lovingly-made rakhis and shared sweets, sealing the bond with affection and smiles.
This celebration was more than a ritual – it was a lesson in values, reminding us of the importance of respect, unity and empathy.
