The campus was beautifully decorated, and students dressed in traditional attire carried beautifully arranged Bathukammas made with seasonal flowers. The event began with cultural performances highlighting the significance of Bathukamma, followed by traditional songs and dances that filled the atmosphere with joy and devotion.
Teachers guided the students in arranging the Bathukammas, explaining the cultural and spiritual importance of the festival—symbolizing respect for nature, unity, and the celebration of womanhood. The rhythmic singing, clapping, and the circular formations around Bathukamma created a festive spirit, spreading smiles all around.
This celebration not only helped the students connect with Telangana’s rich cultural heritage but also encouraged values of togetherness, respect, and environmental awareness. P. Manvika Sahasri and Ch. Vivanya Sri from Greenwood High School, Mancherial, spoke about the importance of leafy vegetables. They highlighted how leafy vegetables are a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber which keep our body healthy and strong. They also mentioned that eating greens regularly improves immunity, supports good eyesight, helps in proper digestion, and keeps us energetic. Their message encouraged everyone to include leafy vegetables in their daily diet for a healthier lifestyle.
Student Mahanshi recently participated in a special classroom interview conducted by her teacher. With confidence and clarity, she answered every question thoughtfully, showcasing her knowledge and presence of mind.
Her engaging responses reflected not only her academic awareness but also her ability to think quickly and communicate effectively. The session highlighted her enthusiasm for learning and set an inspiring example for her classmates.

Greenwood High School, Hasanparthy, celebrated Vinayaka Chavithi in a grand manner on August 27, 2025 Wednesday with colour, devotion, and environmental awareness. The annual festivities, blending spirituality with eco-conscious practices, featured the installation of a hand-crafted idol of Lord Ganesha, a lively procession, devotional rituals, cultural programmer, and a nine-day bhajana series.
Colourful Procession and Puja
The celebrations on August 27 began with a grand procession as the Ganesha idol was carried from the school gate to the Mandapam amidst chants of “Ganapathi Bappa Moriya”. Traditional music, saffron headbands, and enthusiastic participation by students and staff filled the atmosphere with festive joy. Priests later performed the Ganesh Puja with rituals and devotional offerings, invoking blessings for wisdom, prosperity, and peace. Cultural programmes, including songs, dances, and sloka recitations, added vibrancy to the evening.
Nine Nights of Bhajana
A nine-day bhajana programme was held following the installation of the idol. Led by Mr. Jampala Ramesh, Head of the Telugu Department, the sessions included bhajans and devotional slokas. Students actively participated, enriching their spiritual learning while strengthening cultural values.
Eco-Conscious Immersion
The idol was immersed on September 5 at the Hasanparthy pond. A decorated vehicle carried the idol in a final, solemn procession.

A long time ago, there was a king named Mahabali. He was a good and fair king. His people were happy because there was no fighting, no lies, and no poverty in his kingdom.
But the gods became worried. They thought King Mahabali was becoming too powerful. So, they sent Lord Vishnu in the form of a small boy named Vamana.
Vamana asked the king for three steps of land. The king agreed. Then, Vamana became very big and covered the sky and earth in two steps. For the third step, King Mahabali offered his own head.
Lord Vishnu was very pleased and gave Mahabali a blessing. He said Mahabali could visit his people once every year. Onam is the time when people believe King Mahabali comes to visit.

Reflections and Forward Inspiration
With every award conferred, Greenwood’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals was reaffirmed. The dignitaries applauded the teachers for guiding and cultivating the rich talents flourishing within Greenwood’s walls. Words from the leadership reminded all present to strive for excellence, value respect and camaraderie, and pursue personal growth alongside scholarly endeavors.
The ceremony drew to a close, harmony filling the air as the national anthem echoed. Students left the assembly hall not only with prizes and certificates, but with fresh motivation—ready to scale new heights in Greenwood’s stimulating environment.

At Greenwood High School, Hunter Road, Warangal, our young learner Md. Viaan Pasha took the stage to explain the fascinating process of Photosynthesis. With confidence and clarity, he described how plants make their own food using sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide, while also releasing oxygen that sustains life on Earth.
His explanation reflected not only his scientific understanding but also the spirit of curiosity and enthusiasm that Greenwood High nurtures in every student.
Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated on August 16, 2025, with great fervour at Greenwood High School, Hasanparthy, where the campus turned festive with decorations, lights, and colourful pictures depicting the life of Lord Krishna. The celebration brought Festive Spirit on Campus.
Ceremonial Beginning The programme began at 3 p.m. with a traditional pooja conducted by Mr. M. Ranga Rao, Mathematics teacher. The celebration was graced by the presence of Director Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, Chief Administrative Officer Sri. A. Prabhu Kumar, Academic Principal Sri. V. V. V. Naveen Kumar, Administrative Principal Sri. T. Pavan Kumar, Vice Principal Sri V. SureshKumar, and Academic Coordinators Smt. P. Kanthi and Sri. T Phanindra, along with other invited guests.
Vibrant Performances Students added charm to the occasion with dance performances dressed as gopikas, recreating the Vrindavan spirit.
Thrill of Dahi Handi The highlight of the afternoon was the Dahi Handi, which drew cheers from the crowd as groups of students enthusiastically tried to break the pot of curd tied up high. Separate arrangements were made for juniors, seniors, boys, and girls, allowing everyone to take part. Live commentary by anchors ________ and _________added excitement and kept the audience engaged till evening.
Sweet Moments The dignitaries later shared sweets and refreshments with staff and students, making the day even more memorable.
A Soulful Evening In the evening, the school once again gathered for pooja, followed by a peaceful hour of bhajans led by Mr. J. Ramesh, Telugu teacher, in the open-air auditorium. The devotional singing filled the campus with a serene atmosphere, bringing the celebrations to a soulful close.

The day stood as a true reflection of Greenwood’s spirit of devotion and cultural vibrancy, leaving both students and teachers with cherished memories of this year’s Janmashtami.
