“Farewell Party 2022-23” @ Greenwood Hunter Road

AIDEU-2023, farewell party for the outgoing students of class X (2022-23) was held in the school premises in a grand way on March 11, 2023. Class IX students had come together and expressed their desire to organize a farewell function.

Delighted management extended all possible help for the students to organize the party to make it a big success.

The program began with lightening the lamp and garlanding goddess Saraswathi’s portrait by the dignitaries that included Mrs. Jyothi Reddy, wife of Director Mr. Challa Dharama Reddy, CAO-Mr. A. Prabhu Kumar garu, Principal-Ms. Manjula garu, Jahnavi Reddy garu, Vice-Principal -L. Mahender garu, and ACO-K. Srikanth garu.

The program presided over by Rathika of Class IX (Newton) and Ch. Sahasra of IX-Bose. Dressed in traditional, they welcomed the guests, teachers, students for the occasion, and initiated the proceedings.

Lightening of the lamp was followed by welcome dance performance, a classical dance, by Sanjana of Class IX (Kalam) and Ashwini of Class IX (Newton).

It was followed by speeches of students. K. Yashaswini, K. Nihari, S. Sai Shruthi, Y. Slesha, V. Siri Valli, S. Harshith of outgoing batch spoke about their school journey and recollected the wonderful moments of school life. They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the teachers and school for being on their side through thick and thin and guiding them in the right direction. Head boy, Teja, and Head Girl, Vaishanvi, also spoke during the program. They earnestly appreciated the leadership opportunity and how it helped them to grow as individuals besides learning essential qualities of leadership. Vaishnavi said that she would be eternally grateful for the opportunity.

Vice- Principal- Mahendar garu, Mr. ACO – Srikanth garu, Ms. J. Vijaya Shree madam (Social Teacher), Mr. D Shivaji (English Teacher), Mr. B Dharma Dev (Physics Teacher), Ms. K Prasanna Laxmi (Telugu Teacher), and Ms. Nagarani (Hindi Teacher) spoke on the occasion and applauded the students for their perseverance over the years, through the last year particularly, and wished student best of everything.

Speaking at the function, Principal Manjula Madam called the moment a bitter-sweet one. Overwhelmed by emotions, she underlined the importance staying connected to the roots and parents irrespective of where career and life take one. She conveyed the message of both the directors.

CAO-A. Prabhu Kumar garu, addressing the students, said, “go out and face the world bravely; Greenwood High Schools instilled values in you to face any situation with confidence, the school would always stand by its students no matter what.”

Fun games were organized for seniors by class IX students. All the students enthusiastically participated in the activities. Some cultural activities including dance and singing performances were performed by class IX and Class X students.

The program ended with a sumptuous lunch for all the participants.
