Junior Actors of Greenwood High School

The stage is my first love. It gives me immense self-satisfaction, a sort of power because a stage actor carries the audience along; it’s a live performance; spontaneity is its soul.

Coming towards the end of this academic sessions, the opportunity to portray their skills were given to students of grade 6.

The English Club Activity which was carried out on 10th February 2023 was enhanced with the presence of Principal Manjula ma’am, ACO Harshavardhan Sir, and the teachers of English department. The program started with great zeal  and excitement of the students.

All the sections of grade 6 (Bose, Newton, Raman and Ramanujan) gathered in the school ground around 1:30 PM, and the show began at 2 o’clock.

The students had taken this opportunity to have fun with learning. Hence they chose topics which were present in their textbook as a part of one act show.

We started the session with the great performance on Fair play from 6th Bose sapphire house followed by Gratitude towards nature by Ruby.

The program continued with the students of Ramanujan  who showed their stunning acting skills. The audience was really interactive as they were enjoyed the fun concept of Gopi the Gossipmonger by Sapphire house followed by the Vain king by Emerald.

Moving forward we welcomed Raman students to make the stages theirs. The students showed their  wonderful skills and presented topics like The Truth and  Importance of Teacher.

Moving towards the final performances the stage was taken over by the students of Newton , who not only imparted lesson but also gave the elements of laughter to the audience with topics like Game of Chance and A Pact With the Sun.

All the little performers were appreciated by Principal Manjula garu for their tremendous performance. . The students expressed their gratitude as they got a chance to show their skills and talents. Through this activity they gained a lot of confidence and are eager to participate in the upcoming activities as well.

The only way to conquer stage fright is to get up on stage and play. Every time you play another show, it gets better and better.

With this note the  Club Activity has come to an End.
