“National Science Day” Celebrations in Greenwood Hunter Road

National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28th every year to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir CV Raman in 1928.

Taking this as an opportunity “GREENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL” came up with fun activities and information to spread the wonders of science among the students.

The day is celebrated to spread awareness about the importance of science education and its role in our daily lives.

It is a day to recognize and appreciate the contributions of scientists and their impact on society.

On National Science Day, our school organized an event to celebrate the importance of science in our daily lives. The event began with a speech by the school Principal highlighting the significance of the day and the role of science in shaping our world.

The theme of our National Science Day celebration was “Antibiotics and Vaccines”

Antibiotics and vaccines are crucial in the fight against infectious diseases, and it’s important to raise awareness among children 

A special assembly was also held, featuring student performances related to science. A quiz was held during the assembly and winners were given prizes.

Children prepared a song on the periodic table which was a very catchy tune that list the elements of periodic table

Ms. Nasreen Sultana, Mr. Pradeep Reddy, Ms. Shailaja Reddy, Mr. Ramesh, Mr. Dharma Dev, Ms. Shahida, and Ms. Rida were eager to organize an event that would inspire their students to appreciate Science. They worked tirelessly to coordinate with other teachers, design activities that would be engaging and informative for students of all ages. It encourages the public to engage with science and appreciate its contributions to science.

The National Science Day celebration at School ended on a high note with students feeling inspired and excited about the wonders of science.

Overall, National Science Day serves as a reminder of the power of science to transform our world and inspire future generations of scientists.
