International Women’s Day Celebrations @ Greenwood Hunter Road

Every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 across the world. It’s a day when everyone shows appreciation, love, and respect towards women. A woman is said to be a beautiful creation of God!

Greenwood High School- Hunter Road had taken the initiative to make good memories for all the lady staff of the school. With the gracious presence of our principal Manjula madam, Vice principal, Mahender sir, ACOs Srikanth sir, Harsha Vardhan sir and Rumana Madam the event had started.

All the students gathered in the assembly ground with a special welcome given to the Female Staff. The management gave special badges to the teachers starting nursery to high school. The students also acknowledged all the aayas and helping staff of the school.

Students of 9th arranged an amazing entertainment round for everyone, where they described the teachers using different adjectives and students had to guess the name of the teachers. It bought a lot of laughter and smiles on the faces of all the children, teachers and especially our principal Manjula maam.

Special thanks to Ms. Tasleem who guided the students all along the process and prepared them in such a short notice.

Towards the end our principal Manjula maam told us about the significance of women’s day and how they play different roles in the society. Thanks to her, the day became even more memorable.
