Greenwood School has been a regular news maker for its astounding results in IIT and NEET exams every since its inception. It remained a dream for Greenwood to see a Greenwoodian as a Bureaucrat in the Indian Administration for some time. That cherished dream has come true when our 2008 Batch Greenwoodian, Mr. Sai Kiran Pathipaka, S/o Komurelli, has successfully passed through the (UPSE CIVILS-2022) IPS-2022 qualifying examination.
It gives me an immense pleasure to convey a message to students of my alma mater.
My formative years at Greenwood laid foundation for my career.
There are few qualities that are non-negotiable at this age. These are to have an intense desire to succeed, clear vision, confidence, perseverance and discipline. I’m extremely grateful for the Greenwood management for developing these qualities in me.
I would like to share some tips from my experience which I think would be helpful to you.
First, refer standard sources.
Second, revise them multiple times.
Third, practice and rectify the mistakes.
Do not refer too many sources on one subject.
Once again, I would take the opportunity to thank the entire team of Greenwood for making me what I am today.

AIDEU-2023, farewell party for the outgoing students of class X (2022-23) was held in the school premises in a grand way on March 11, 2023.Class IX students had come together and expressed their desire to organize a farewell function.
Delighted management extended all possible help for the students to organize the party to make it a big success.
The program began with lightening the lamp and garlanding goddess Saraswathi’s portrait by the dignitaries that included Mrs. Jyothi Reddy,wife of Director Mr. Challa Dharama Reddy,CAO-Mr. A. Prabhu Kumar garu, Principal-Ms. Manjula garu, Jahnavi Reddy garu,Vice-Principal -L. Mahender garu, and ACO-K. Srikanth garu.
The program presided over by Rathika of Class IX (Newton) and Ch. Sahasra of IX-Bose. Dressed in traditional, they welcomed the guests, teachers, students for the occasion, and initiated the proceedings.
Lightening of the lamp was followed by welcome dance performance, a classical dance, by Sanjana of Class IX (Kalam) and Ashwini of Class IX (Newton).
It was followed by speeches of students. K. Yashaswini, K. Nihari, S. Sai Shruthi, Y. Slesha, V. Siri Valli, S. Harshith of outgoing batch spoke about their school journey and recollected the wonderful moments of school life. They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the teachers and school for being on their side through thick and thin and guiding them in the right direction. Head boy, Teja, and Head Girl, Vaishanvi, also spoke during the program. They earnestly appreciated the leadership opportunity and how it helped them to grow as individuals besides learning essential qualities of leadership. Vaishnavi said that she would be eternally grateful for the opportunity.

Speaking at the function, Principal Manjula Madam called the moment a bitter-sweet one. Overwhelmed by emotions, she underlined the importance staying connected to the roots and parents irrespective of where career and life take one. She conveyed the message of both the directors.
CAO-A. Prabhu Kumar garu, addressing the students, said, “go out and face the world bravely; Greenwood High Schools instilled values in you to face any situation with confidence, the school would always stand by its students no matter what.”
Fun games were organized for seniors by class IX students. All the students enthusiastically participated in the activities. Some cultural activities including dance and singing performances were performed by class IX and Class X students.
The program ended with a sumptuous lunch for all the participants.
Holi is a festival of colours. Even the elderly turn into youngsters on this day as they forget their age and ailments while naughtily pursuing their targets to cover them up with as many colours as possible.
The gulaal used in earlier days was made from natural colours extracted from flowers, spices and trees etc and had medicinal properties beneficial to the skin.
Unfortunately, in modern days, the hazardous chemicals and substances used in Holi colours play havoc with our skin, eyes and respiratory system.
In the name of celebrating Holi, a huge amount of water is spent and even wasted. Playing wet Holi with water-guns or water-balloons can harm the ear. Water may enter the ear and cause itching, earache or blockage.
The next few days after Holi are spent trying to get rid of the unforgiving colours stuck mercilessly to the skin and clothes.
Inorder to avoid such problems, we at Abhyaas the global school celebrated Holi with a difference. Colours were used creatively. The tiny tots dipped their palms into vibrant colours of their choice and admired the way their own palms and those of their peers looked. Next, they pressed their palms and thumbs on a chart leaving imprints to create a beautiful and creative picture.
The kids played with colours but didn’t smear them on each other instead they used them creatively to create memories of a different kind.
The sports day is one event that students enjoy with much enthusiasm so, we at Greenwood, inaugurated it in our spacious playground.
The fest started with a vigorous March past by our NCC cadets to welcome our chief guests: Mr. Pochaiah-M.E.O (Mandamarri), Mr. T.Pavan Kumar garu -AGM Greenwood high school, Mr. T. Ravi well wisher of Greenwood accompanied by Principal Mr Ayub and Ms.Kanthi.
The Dignitaries adorned their chairs on the dias and later the inaugural ceremony started with the school flag hoisting followed by the Marchpast by the presidents and vice presidents of all the four houses accompanied by the Head boy and Head girl followed by dumbles, legumes and hoops which was spectacular.
All the honorable guests and dignitaries spoke few words about the importance of sports in maintaining their fitness and also delivered their wishes of success to the students.

Today 66 cadets(46 boys and 20 Girls) students attended NCC ‘A’ certificate Examination in our school. After completion of their Two years training period, they attended the exam. The exam involves test in drill, weapon training, map reading, field craft and battle craft along with an awareness on armed forces history. The cadets have to follow the detail procedure of drill and answer the oral and written exam.
This year the school had 20 girl cadets and 46 boys taken part in the exam. The day had the visit of the commanding officer Col A.N.Khandhuri of 10(T) Bn.NCC Warangal. He appreciated the efforts of the cadets in taking to NCC and developing the spirit of nationalism at an early age.
He appreciated the involvement of Cadets P. Vishnuvardhan of class X and Om Kondra of Class IX as a part of the Cultural team to the Inter Group Competitions at Guntur this year.
He appreciated the cadets for their classy performance and presentation in both the theory and practical examinations. He wanted the cadets to take up armed forces as a career. He also appreciated an admired ANO Sri. Radha Krishnan and Care taker Mr. A. Rama Krishna for their great endeavors in training the cadets so well and preparing them thoroughly for the exam. Greenwood High School,Warangal, Telangana, has been selected for Pariksha Pe Charcha-2023, an annual exam time interactive meet with PM Mr. Narendra Modi for the students of classes 9 and 10.

Winter Sports Carnival of Greenwood High School, a weeklong sports meet for all the classes and a much awaited sporting event in the school calendar, began with a great fanfare with Director Sir. Dr.Girrem Bharadwaja Naidu garu, declaring the Sports Carnival open at a specially held ceremony in the school playground on the 18 January, 2023.
Leading up to the sporting carnival, all the students of all the classes were given a chance to choose sports of their interest to take part in and the response was huge.
After all, it was the first major sporting event in the School post COVID-19. With an aim to provide a sporting opportunity to everyone, all the participants are drawn into teams, house-wise, for team sports and preliminary rounds are formalized for individual games. It’s been a painstaking process since almost all the students are eager to participate in one or the other game.
On 18th January, the day of re-opening of the School after the Sankranthi vacation, Sports Carnival opening ceremony took place. A makeshift stage was arranged in the ground and arrangements were put in place for the program. All the students gathered on the ground dressed in white for the program. First, the guest of honour for the ceremony, respected Director Sir, was called on to the stage, and he was followed by CAO Prabhu Kumar Sir, Principal Manjula Madam to the dais. Vice-Principal Mahender and ACOs K Harshavardhan and K. Srikanth adorned the stage as well.
A March-past of houses led by respective House Presidents and guided by the Head Boy and the Head Girl was conducted and while the march-past passed the stage they saluted the dignitaries on the dais. Guests gladly accepted the salute. The march-past with perfect synchronization resembled a military parade. Speaking about the same, the PETs-Mr. Rajkumar, Mr.Praveen and Mr.Ramesh said that, “we have been making students practice whenever we get time. Thankfully, all our efforts paid off.”
It was followed by the National Flag hoisting by our respected Director Sir and the School Flag hoisting by the Head Boy. Director Sir lit the torch and passed the torch to the Head Boy who passed it to the Head Girl. Likewise, it was passed on to other House Presidents and all the cabinet enthusiastically accompanied them in the march. Finally, the torch was brought to the stage and Director Sir lit the Sports Carnival flame with the torch and declared the sporting carnival open and he administered the oath of fair play with all the participants. Speaking on the occasion, Director Sir said, “Put aside winning and losing and stay focused on bringing the best out of you.” He also emphasized on how important it is to abide by the rules of the games and playing it fare. All the students enthusiastically cheered throughout the program.
After the ceremony, first match of boys’ voylleyball between teams A & E of Diamond House took place. Director Sir shook hands with the two teams accompanied by the respective Captains and wished the teams all the best. On the other side of the ground, girls’ Dodgeball match was held between Teams B & C of Diamond House. Director Sir was introduced to the players of the teams by respective Captains and with Director Sir tossing the coin, the match began. There started a sporting spectacle for the full week.

As Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India is observing the Road Safety Week from 11th to 17th January 2023, under “Swachhata Pakhawada”, to propagate the cause of safer roads for all. We at Greenwood High School, Manchirial branch did our part to educate laymen on ROAD SAFETY.
Our students excuted a a rally with slogans on road safety.
As it is quite common that people never pay attention for regular things, our students performed a MIME to illustrate how carelessness causes lives. And also a Flash mob to emphasize various measures that people should take to comply with the government’s safety regulations and keep themselves and their loved ones safe.
We travelled to the state of Punjab from Mathura on 14th December night. It was a night long journey. The children relished this long journey mixed with nice sleep in the cosy comfort of the luxury bus and were not tired at all. We all reached Amritsar on 15th by 01.00 p.m. From there we travelled to one of the key landmarks of the Indian Freedom Struggle; Jallianwala Bagh. We visited the Museum, watched the Laser show at Jallianwala Bagh. The Laser show depicted in detail the events of Massacre. By this we understood the historical importance of Jallianwala Bagh incident that intensified our Freedom Struggle.
The Historical Importance of Jallianwala Bagh
Presently this is a Historical Garden and a ‘Memorial of National Importance’. It is very close to the sacred ‘Golden Temple Complex’ in Amritsar, Punjab. It is preserved as a memorial for those brutally killed; the men, women and even the innocent children; and wounded in what is known as Jallianwala Bagh Massacre at this site on the festive day of Baisakhi on 13 April 1919.
Also known as the ‘Amritsar Massacre’, this marks the brutality and cruelty and inhumane nature of the British Rulers. On that fateful day General Dyer, attacked and ordered firing at a crowd of people, protesting peacefully against the Rowlatt Act and arrest of pro-independence activists Saifuddin Kitchlew and Satyapal. Unfortunately, this place was densely surrounded by buildings and had only one exit which was blocked by the forces of General Dyer. Thus, when the firing was started people had no way to escape. Many succumbed to death and several injured fatally. It was so disheartening to recall that the firing continued without any break till the ammunition was totally exhausted. This incident shocked each and everyone. Rabindranath Tagore was so moved that he renounced his Knighthood in protest of this British brutality.
GOLDEN TEMPLE
The Golden temple is famous for its full golden dome, it is one of the most sacred pilgrim spots for Sikhs. The Mandir is built on a 67-ft square of marble and is a two storied structure. Maharaja Ranjit Singh had the upper half of the building built with approximately 400 kg of gold leaf.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh, after founding the Sikh Empire, rebuilt it in marble and copper in 1809, and overlaid the sanctum with gold leaf in 1830. This has led to the name the Golden Temple. The Golden Temple is spiritually the most significant shrine in Sikhism.
At 06.45 in the evening, we started walking towards the holy “Golden Temple” from the Jallianwala Bagh with heavy hearts to get the solace in the blessing of the Holy Sikh Guru. We all entered the temple strictly following the religious dictums of Sikhism; tying a holy cloth; turban around our heads and dipping our feet in the holy water in the temple complex.
The Golden temple is a Gurudwara, an eminent spiritual and holy place of Sikhism. We also visited Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, in Kartarpur and Gurudwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib.
By 09.00 p.m. that day, we moved to a comfortable hotel for a sumptuous dinner and a goodnight’s sleep in comfort.
Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Asthan
On 16/12/2022, at 08.00am in the morning we all started towards the famous Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Asthan at Amritsar.
Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Asthan is a Temple Complex; an important historical monument dedicated to Maharshi Valmiki’s located on Bhagwan Valmiki Tirth Road, about 11 km west of Amritsar city. There is an 8-foot-tall, 800-kg gold-plated idol of Sage Valmiki in this complex.
According to the Hindu Mythology, this temple dates back to the period of Ramayana. This placed is believed to be the erstwhile Ashram of Sage Valmiki. It is the very place where Sadhvi Sita was given shelter and the children of Lord Rama were born. It is the place where the epic Ramayana was written by Rishi Valmiki. Close to this place is Ram Tirth, where Lord Rama’s forces were defeated by his own sons; Lava and Kusha.
Wagah Border
We started moving towards the Wagah Border(Attari Border) at about 1.30 p.m. and reached there by 03.00 p.m. which is almost 32 Kms away from Amritsar.
Wagah is the international border between India and Pakistan; an army outpost on Indo-Pak border – between Amritsar and Lahore. It is an elaborate complex of buildings, roads and barriers on both sides of India and Pakistan.
We are fortunate to witness the pomp and pageantry of the ‘Beating Retreat’ a remarkable ritual followed here on each and every day. This marks the change of guard at both sides within the handshaking distance of the Indian and Pakistani forces. Soldiers from both the countries perform a perfect drill and march, thus going through an exciting and hair rising procedure followed by the bringing down of their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause patriotism. This spectacular array would certainly last in our hearts for a life time.
Makar refers to the Zodiac sign of Capricorn, while Sankranti means transition. The festival ‘Makar Sankranti’ celebrates the Sun’s shift into the zodiac sign of Capricorn. It is celebrated in reverence to the deity Surya (sun). It is observed each year in January. It marks the first day of sun’s transit into the Makara (Capricorn) and marks the end of the winter solstice. Being a festival that celebrates the solar cycle, it usually falls on the same Gregorian date every year. This festival officially announces the beginning of spring. The festival highlights the importance of pulling back unethical and unhealthy behaviors while practicing peaceful and positive ones instead.
The three days festivities are known by various names such as “BHOGI”,SANKRANTHI and KANUMA.
Abhyaas the global school celebrated pre- ‘Sankranti’ with great pomp and splendour where students came in colourful traditional Indian dresses. All the students and teachers decorated a village hut with motifs related to Sankranti, colourful rangolies and flowers.
Bommala Koluvu was arranged with images of Gods, toys, and dolls that were brought by the students.
The celebrations were started by the Principal and parents by lightening the bonfire as a symbol of discarding outdated things and ideas welcoming new things and new ideas to prosper.
Next, kids of Nursery, LKG, UKG, Classes 1 and 2 were blessed by their Principal, teachers and parents with auspicious akshantalu, coins, berry fruits and flowers as a tradition of BHOGIAPPLLU POYADAM.advertisement

Students were reminded about the facts and celebrations related to Sankranti. They were told about the significance of each day – Bhoghi, Makar Sankranti, Kanuma and Mukkanuma.
Students in different attires of BUDABUKKALA VADU, KOMMA DASARI,PITTALA DORA, HARIDASULU, SODAMMELU, had filled the ambiance with laughter with their funny way of TRADITIONAL BHIKSHATANA.
Students danced around Gobbemmalu that were placed on colourful rangoli with the accompaniment of songs sung related to GOBBILLU.
Later, to enhance the festivities in the children, a few students dressed up to represent Suryadeva, Goda Devi, Shakuntala, Vanadeveta, Farmers and village women.
Fun did not end there, many cultural activities were performed by each class students on the theme of SANKRANTHI.
The celebrations ended with KITE flying and RANGOLI competitions.
GANIT WEEK, a program conceived, designed and organized by the Greenwood’s Department of Mathematics to commensurate with the Maths Day Celebrations, marking the Birth Anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujanon 22 December 2022, was conducted in our School.
MATHS TRIVIA, the Quiz Competition was conducted at two levels, one the Junior Quiz Competition that has been conducted for the students of Classes 6 through 8 on 05 December 2022, and the other, the Senior Quiz Competition for the students of Classes 9 and 10 on 08.12.2023.

A very meticulous, fair and transparent procedure was followed for the selection of students for the final round of this competition. A Screening Test was conducted on 25 November 2022 for juniors and on 30 Nov 2023 for seniors. In this test, as many as 450 enthusiastic students took part at the Junior Level and as many as 550 students took part at the Senior Level.32 students representing the four Houses of the school; AGNI, PRITHVI, BRAHMOS and TRISHUL, was shortlisted to take part in the final round of this competition for each of the two levels..
The 8 participants shortlisted students from each House are divided into 2 groups of 4 each. These groups have shared thefive Quiz rounds of this Quiz Competition; Motivational Round, Algebraic Round, Ramanujan Round, Visual Round, Rapid Fire Round.
The first of these rounds, the Motivational Round, is considered to be a warm up for the Quiz. Each group has got 3 questions weighing 20 points each for a direct question and 10 points for a passed question.
The second round, the Algebraic Round, consisted of 16 questions in all. These questions were based on the algebra, which is an integral part of School –Maths Curriculum.
The third round, the Ramanujan Round, consisted of questions based solely on based on the biography of Ramanujan. Through this round the unique features of Ramanujan’s life were presented to one and all. This round consisted of eight questions.
The fourth round, the Visual Round, is the most challenging round of this Quiz Competition. This Round required the contestants to identify images of the Mathematicians. To increase the spirit and thrill of the competition and to reduce the wild guessing as well, Negative Points were introduced in this round.
A solid understanding of milestones and developmental pathways across each domain of children’s development can benefit teachers as well as parents in several ways.
Knowledge of how children within a given age span typically develop and learn provides a general framework to guide teachers in preparing the learning environment, considering curriculum, designing learning experiences, teaching and interacting with children.
Also important for parents to know the sequences in which children gain specific concepts, skills, and abilities, building on prior development and learning familiarity, for the better understanding of their wards learning abilities.
Knowledge of child development and learning provides the best foundation for planning for children.
Knowledge of individual child, and knowledge of family, community, and culture from which the child comes helps to understand the individual needs.
Knowing what is typical at a certain age is the best place to start when experiences and environments are planned for children. Plans based on typical child development and learning meet the needs of the majority of children, then make changes to accommodate individual children who may be ahead or behind.
Knowledge of child development and learning helps to plan next steps for supporting children’s progress.
Knowledge of the sequence of knowledge or skill development in any given area helps schools to set achievable, appropriate learning goals for children. It also helps to plan activities and experiences that challenge children just enough to progress without frustrating them with a challenge that is too far beyond their abilities.
We continually expand our own knowledge of child development and learning, and apply that knowledge when we plan and make decisions in their program, can feel confident about their practice. We also have a solid foundation when we explain our decisions and practices to parents and colleagues; a foundation that goes beyond personal opinion or feelings.

By providing a kind environment, it helps to encourage optimal brain development as well as social connection and collaboration. In other words, it affects learning by shaping children’s developing neural circuitry, particularly the executive functions.
As children feel safe and learn how to inhibit disruptive emotional impulses, they exhibit greater self-confidence, better behavior and enhanced memory. They enjoy the learning process and thus, readily engage and fully immerse themselves in gaining new information and skills.
Every New Year begins with one of our major festivals; Sankranthi. It is not a hyperbole if one says Rangoli is synonymous with Sankranthi. A month-long physical exercise for the young ladies early in the morning is indeed a blessing for them for improving their health. What physical exercise? Yes, your guess is right, embellishing mother Earth with colourful Rangavallulu, Rangoli each day for a month.
Greenwood is always the first in upholding the cultural values, tradition and heritage. Every year marking the advent of Sankranthi, a Rangolicompetition is held in School for the girl children.
This year this competition was held with lot of enthusiasm, cheer and joy in front of the Girl’s Hostel on 03.01.2023. As many as twenty teams of six girls each took part in this competition exhibiting their creativity, skill and artistic talent. Their knowledge of colour combinations and blending the tradition with the present is highly commendable. All of their colorful designs are indeed a feast to the eyes of the onlookers. Sure, Mother Earth has felt extremely happy and blessed all the contestants.
The winners? We got to wait to know till the Republic Day Celebrations on 26.01.2023.
At the end of the competition, our beloved Director Sri. Dr. Girrem Bharadwaja Naidu garu,Academic Principal Sri. VVV Naveen Kumar and Administrative Principal T. Pavan Kumar congratulated all the participants and praised their talent.
Popularly know as Gorintaku and Mydaku,Mehendi has been gaining unprecedented popularity among the young ladies, children and ladies all over India. It is good to know that its popularity is extended to young gentlemen and men too. Putting on Mehendi to redden the palms, hands and sometimes feet is considered not only beauty but also auspicious. In Greenwood it is always “Come January, Come Mehendi”.
Sparkling red, brightening the hands, arms and feet of girls always brings in unlimited joy to the girls. It has become a tradition to conduct a competition among the girl students of Greenwood to bring out the imbedded talent of Art of Mehendi in them.
On 02.01.2023, this competition was conducted in the school lawn in the evening . As many as 55 girls took active part in this competition. Each of these girls paired with a peer each of their choice and decorated their palms and arms to the best of their skill exhibiting their talent. It indeed was a treat for the connoisseurs to look at the sight of these many girls actively engaged in this exhibition of skill and art.
Their talent was assessed by Judges (Teachers) and the result was kept in a sealed cover. Who the winners are will only be known on the oncoming National Festival, Republic Day; 26.01.2023.
At the end of the competition our beloved Director Sri. Dr. Girrem Bharadwaja Naidu garu, the Academic Principal Sri. V.V.V. Naveen Kumar and Administrative Principal Sri. T. Pavan Kumar congratulated and appreciated all the participants. They wished them good luck in their future endeavors and blessed them.
It has been a tradition in Greenwood to bid Good Bye to the bygone Year and Welcome the new year with a lot of fervour. And the 31 December 2022 was no exception to this.
Elaborate arrangements were made to celebrate this event with lots of pomp and gaiety. The children under the guidance of the Greenwood Art and Craft Department decorated the stage so well to set the stage for a wonderful event.
The pillars of the Greenwood, that gave a solid foundation for Greenwood, Sri. Challa Dharma Reddy garu and Sri.DR. Girrem Bharadwaja Naidu garu,Sri. Alapati Prabhu Kumar garu, Sri. Shaik Rabbani garu, The Academic Principal Sri VVV. Naveen Kumar and the Administrative Principal Sri T. Pavan Kumar graced the function by their presence.
The first ladies of the school, Smt. Jyothi garu and Smt. Padmasree Garu has added the rainbow colour to this lovely occasion by their gracious presence. The very presence of these eminent ladies and gentlemen itself brought in the much-deserved festive look to the Greenwood Open Auditorium.
This ceremony was started with the auspicious prayer invoking Lord Ganesha by rendering the shloka ‘Sukhlambaradharam’ by a group of girls. This was followed fittingly by a Welcome Dance, ‘Aigiri Nandini’ by Kushi and her friends.
And then the cloud burst of many dances and songs and lots of fun and cheer marked the rest of the program. The following list shows the extensiveness of this program presented by the Greenwood Children.
Many a time the audience had to hold their breath in wonder and surprise at the talent exhibited by our children.
Soon after the excitement of the dances is over the excitement of the sports set in. The major event of the sports ‘The Winter Sports Carnival’ was conducted from 14-11-2022 to 19-11-2022. It was very fitting that the winners of the individual events, group events belonging to all Houses (Agni, Brahmos, Prithvi and Trishul) were felicitated with a lot of grandeur.
A very transparent and meticulous system was followed by the Department of Sports and games in deciding the winners by giving a very fair chance to one and all. The winners of each event was awarded five points, the runners up three points and those in the third position got 2 points. The cumulative total points were taken into consideration in deciding the Overall Winter Sports Carnival Championship of the school.
Certificates and medals were distributed to the all the winners. It may not be exaggeration if one says that light lit on the faces of the winners at that moment was brighter than the Neon lights used to light up the Open Auditorium.
Our beloved Director, Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu lauded the efforts of the Physical Education Teachers for having conducted the Winter Sports Carnival with thumping success.
When the clock struck 12 as a ritual, the Cake Cutting was done by all the eminent dignitaries. This was followed by the exchange of ‘New Year Greeting’ among one and all.
Sri. Challa Dharma Reddy garu,our beloved Director while greeting the children advised them to focus on the academics as they have to take their examinations soon. He also wished a lot of good luck for them for their oncoming examinations.
Dr. Bharadwaja Naidu garu, the Stalwart of Education and our beloved revered Director, has commended the children in their efforts in making everything a success story in our school. He advised them to work hard for their oncoming examinations; the board examinations for the class 10 students and the Periodic Assessment 3 for the rest of the school. He further reiterated the fact that our school has got the best of the infrastructure and the students have got the advantage of the services of very good teachers who all well qualified and committed and are always ready to help the students in their studies.
Talking about the two principals, Sri. VVV. Naveen Kumar, the Academic Principal and Sri. T. Pavan Kumar, the Administrative Principal said that the School Management is extremely happy the way these two principals are coordinating and cooperating with each other and leading the school to greater heights. He also mentioned the fact that both these principals are of high standards of academic administration irrespective of their designations. He expressed the strong hope that under their administration the academics of the school certainly would scale new heights.
He further appealed all the teaching staff to put in their best efforts to push the standard of Greenwood Education a step up.
Thus Greenwood gave a fitting farewell to the year 2022 and a befitting welcome to the year 2023.

Since time immemorial, people travel to different places for different purposes. Travelling to new places, exploring new environments and meeting new people boost a person’s creativity.
We at Greenwood, are committed to explore new horizons of learning, creativity and development. In a continuous effort to provide best experiential learning, Greenwood Management facilitated an Educational Tour for class 10th students of both Residential and Day Campus.
Our journey started with the boarding of Andhra Pradesh Super fast Express from Warangal Station at 7.30 A.M. and reached Agra on early morning of 13th December. As a popular proverb says, happiness lies in the journey not in the destination; we were amazed with the glimpse of cultural, linguistic and geographical diversity of our nation right from the beginning. Inside the train, meeting new people, exchanging thoughts and sharing pleasantries, lots of fun filled moments are worth mentioning here. While were crossing Chambal River, we witnessed ravines of Chambal that has been shaped by the river over a millennia.
On 13th morning accompanied by tour guides we visited Agra Fort. The grandeur and magnificent view of the fort was astonishing. Encompassing more than 94 Acres, it share its own tell of history. Different structures within Agra fort which attracts the attention of visitors are Diwan-I-Aam, Diwan-I-Khas, Jahangir’s Hauz and Shish Mahal. The breathtaking view of Taj Mahal from Agra Fort shrouded with morning fog certainly makes someone lost in wonder. From entrance to exit, Agra Fort revealed its glorious past mixed with bravery and glory.
Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra in India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty till 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. The Agra fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site.It is about 2.5 km northwest of its more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal.
Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan (reigned from 1628 to 1658), to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
By afternoon we visited Taj Mahal (Built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal) one of the modern seven wonders of the world. The majestic view of Taj Mahal along with its chahar bagh, Yamuna river view from its plinth and central dome that reaches upto 73 meters was a feast for eyes.

The next day i.e., on 14-12-2022, we visited FATEHPUR SIKRI, a city established by Akbar. Inside the Fatehpur Sikri there are different monuments such as Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panchmahal, Jodha Bai Mahal, Anup talab, Naubat Khana and Ibadat Khana. The biggest attraction of Fatehpur Sikri was Buland Darwaja.
MATHURA AND VRINDAVAN
On the way to Amritsar, the city of Golden Temple, we had a brief visit to Mathura and Vrindavan, the places associated with the glory of Lord Sri Krishna.The tumultuous past of Mathura with its chunk of history, linked with the heart of millions of devotees across the globe, the mere presence inside Krishna Janmabhoomi temple makes someone calm, composure and devotional.
Vrindavan, little far from Mathura is a place associated with the childhood days of Lord Sri Krishna. Though there are hundreds of Temples dedicated to the supreme Deity of Hinduism, Prem Mandir stands apart.
Made from Italian Marble, it transport its beholders to another level of experience. The play of modern lights on the shining marbles of the temple worth mentioning here. The Temple Campus of Prem Mandir has all the elements that glorifies the earthly as well as divine deeds of Lord Krishna, be it stealing butter, killing of demons, playing with Sudama, Kaliya Dalan and many more.
The experiences that we had after visiting to these places undoubtedly transformed us from merely a bookish learner to a learner with a new vision and new experience.
Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a journey, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. On 31st December, 2022Abhyaas The Global School celebrated the ending of the year 2022 and the beginning of the New Year.
The celebration kick started with the melodious Songs and a quiz on important events that marked 2022 to stand Unique. Students took part with enthusiasm as it was a great opportunity to gain points for their HOUSE.
As it suites to make new resolutions on the NEW YEARs day, Students were motivated to do MEDITATION for 10minutes and take a resolution for the year 2023. As the students were involved in meditation teachers provided each student with a balloon. Once after opening their eyes the students have written their resolution on the balloon given to them and sent them upward as if to offer them to God, which made the crowd to get into the festive fervor and enjoy themselves.
All the students and the faculty relished the joy and then headed towards House wise Antakshari. As the songs were being sung, the house mates danced to their heart’s content saying cheers to the NEW YEAR.
