Tradition, Talent, and Togetherness Mark Ganesh Chaturthi at Greenwood – Mancherial

The spirit of devotion and cultural vibrancy illuminated Greenwood High School, Mancherial, as the institution celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with grandeur and reverence on Tuesday, 26th August 2025.

The event was meticulously organized under the guidance of Principal Mr. Chandramohan and Vice Principal Mr. G. Thirupathi, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all grades.

A Sacred Beginning

The celebration commenced with a soulful invocation, as the anchors A. Sri Sahasra and Aadhya Chenna rendered an auspicious welcome shloka, invoking divine blessings. The ceremonial offering of coconut and flowers set a devotional tone for the proceedings.

Cultural Brilliance

A series of cultural performances brought together tradition, creativity, and artistry:

  • Sacred Shlokas, devotional songs, and graceful dances reflected the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi.
  • The youngest learners charmed the audience, with Sri Aadhya (Grade 1) reciting shlokas and Nihaan Writham (UKG) narrating a captivating story.
  • Classical dance performances by Mahalaxmi and Shasruchitha, followed by Thanushri and Sri Nithya, showcased elegance and talent.
  • Festive group dances, melodious devotional songs, and delightful Vinayaka get-ups by Virat, Dhrithisri, Viyan, and Riyan filled the atmosphere with joy.

Voices of Wisdom

The stage also echoed with inspiring speeches delivered in English, Telugu, and Hindi, reflecting students’ confidence and cultural awareness. Orators such as Hananya, Divyanshu Chandra, Sri Aadhya, and Skanda impressed the audience, while Anuradha’s Hindi shloka recitation added a classical touch.



The school community celebrated a remarkable achievement as Navulla Sri Mahalakshmi (Grade 3) secured a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for her outstanding dance performance. She was felicitated by Principal Mr. Chandramohan, who also congratulated her proud parents for this extraordinary accomplishment.

A Memorable Conclusion

The program’s crescendo included a thought-provoking skit guided by Mahender Sir, a harmonious group song by senior students, and a mesmerizing solo dance performance by Dikshita.

In his concluding address, Principal Mr. Chandramohan emphasized the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices during Ganesh Chaturthi, encouraging students to blend tradition with sustainability.

The celebration ended with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mr. Mahender (in Telugu), expressing gratitude to the students, staff, and parents who contributed to the event’s success.
