A Spectacular, children’s day Fiesta @ Greenwood – Mancherial

Children’s Day was celebrated with vibrancy and enthusiasm at Greenwood High School, Mancherial, under the dynamic guidance of the visionary Principal Mr. R. Chandramohan. The day began with a joyful gathering of students and staff on the school ground. The regular morning assembly was conducted by Grade 4 Lily, coordinated efficiently by class teachers Mrs. Mitha and Mrs. Saba Firdose, who also announced the schedule for the day’s events.

Dignitaries were warmly welcomed onto the dais, after which Principal Mr. R. Chandramohan offered floral tributes and garlanded the portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, marking the significance of the occasion.

A colourful Fancy Dress Competition was organised for Pre-Primary and Grades 1, 2, and 3. Children arrived in a delightful array of imaginative getups. The judges, Mr. Syed Qhuddus and Mrs. Shaik Munira, appreciated the creativity and confidence of the participants.

A special highlight of the morning was the series of lively and humorous presentations by teachers.
Mr. Veeramallu (Mathematics) and Mr. Venkateshwarlu (Telugu) entertained students with humour, while
Mr. Balakrishnan (Biology), Mrs. Premalatha (Grade 2), Mr. O. Venkatesh (Chemistry),
Mr. G. Mahender (Telugu), Mr. Arif (Hindi), Mr. Syed Qhuddus (AO), and
Mrs. Tejaswini (Social Studies) captivated the audience with melodious and meaningful songs.
Adding a rhythmic spark, Mr. Ramesh (Physics) and Mrs. Sheetal (Handwriting) enthralled the students with an energetic dance performance.

A Singing Competition followed, judged by Mr. G. Mahender and Mr. O. Venkatesh. Primary students sang the National Anthem, while high school students rendered the full version of the National Song, filling the grounds with patriotic fervour.

Simultaneously, a Drawing Competition for Grades 4–9 was held, assessed by Mr. G. Thirupathi (Vice Principal) and Mr. J. Suresh (Art Teacher). Pre-Primary children showcased impressive creativity in colouring and rhyme recitation.

The Elocution Competition for Grades 4–9 was judged by Mrs. Lakshmi Devi, Mr. Anandam, and Mrs. N. Sailaja, who appreciated the students’ confidence and linguistic abilities.



The afternoon session was anchored gracefully by Ch. Samanya (Grade 8) and B. Aaradhya (Grade 7). The program began with a delightful Pre-Primary Welcome Dance, followed by the much-awaited Dance Competitions:

Grades 1–3: Judged by Mrs. Lakshmi Devi and Mrs. Meera Bai

Grades 4–5: Judged by Mrs. Amitha and Mrs. Sushma

Grades 6–7: Judged by Mrs. Sheetal and Mrs. Saba Firdose

Grades 8–9: Judged by Mrs. Premalatha and Mrs. Tejaswini

The Three-Language Speeches segment showcased confident speakers:

Grade 1: Amyra, Niyansh

Grade 2: P. Shanvitha, G. Virat, P. Manvika, A. Hasika, Ch. Shaanvi

Grade 3: Goutham, Aarav Meena

Grade 5: T. Harshavardhan, Siddharth Mandal

Grade 6: Y. Haricharan, Saanvika, Ishaan, Harshith Varma, Komal Tej, K. Rishi Varma

Grade 8: T. Aaradhya

Hindi Slogans and Kavitha were presented by:
Aman Meena, Harsh Raj, D. Shreyan (Grade 4 Rose),
G. Himasri, B. Vidhathri Patel, Sriharsha (Grade 4 Rose),
Praneetha, Anuradha, O. Anurag, Sriaadhya (Grade 6).

A thoughtful Hindi conversation on Children’s Day was presented by K. Vanushna and Anjali Meena.

A major attraction of the entire celebration was the beautifully crafted Greetings Booklet, featuring Pre-Primary children’s photographs dressed as various professionals such as doctor, astronaut, chef, and more. This creatively designed booklet, a symbol of aspirations and imagination, was proudly distributed by Principal Mr. R. Chandramohan to students and parents. A memorable photograph was taken to mark this special moment.

The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks. All teaching and non-teaching staff actively contributed to making the celebration meaningful, inspiring, and memorable for every child.

The Children’s Day celebration at Greenwood High School, Mancherial, truly reflected joy, creativity, and the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds.
