Sammakka Saralamma Jatara (also Sammakka Sarakka Jatara and Medaram Jatara)[1] is a festival to honour the Hindu Tribal goddesses, celebrated in the state of Telangana, India.

This Jatara is known for witnessing one of the largest people gatherings in the world. People offer Bellam (jaggery)(Locally called as Bangaram): The Jatara begins at Medaram in Tadvai Mandala in Mulugu district. The tricolor unfurled during the flag hoisting ceremony symbolized our collective commitment to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Transitioning to the cultural segment, LKG/Nursery talents sparkled in Fancy Dress performances, followed by UKG students who mesmerized with a patriotic dance. Grades progressed, presenting captivating Welcome Dances and lively Punjabi Saare performances celebrating our rich cultural diversity.



Class 3 took center stage with a dynamic dance to “Tere Jalwa,” accompanied by a poignant Hindi speech eloquently capturing the essence of our diverse heritage. Class 4 continued with a speech by Nehanth, followed by graceful Girls Dance and an energetic Boys Dance, showcasing dynamism and talent.

The program climaxed with Class 6 girls’ musical prowess and dynamic dances to “Desh Rangila” and “Tere Mitti” by the talented Class 7 girls. These performances served as a crescendo, resonating with the pride and spirit of our nation.

were taken for a visits to “Places of Worship ” in the neighbourhood.
Here’s a glimpse of their exciting journey:

  • Gurudwara :
    The first stop on the itinerary was the serene Gurudwara. Students experienced the peaceful ambiance, learned about Sikh traditions, and were treated to the warm hospitality of the Sikh community. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange and understanding.
  • Church:
    The students witnessed the beauty of Christian religious practices, admired the architecture, and engaged in conversations with the church staff. The visit encouraged an open dialogue about different faiths and the importance of tolerance.
  • Masjid:
    The educational journey continued with a visit to the masjid in Chowrastha. Students gained insights into Islamic practices and observed the architectural beauty of the mosque.

  • Thousand Pillar Temple :
    A historical and architectural marvel awaited the students at the Thousand Pillar Temple. Students immersed themselves in nature, discovering various plant species and learning about environmental conservation. The park visit aimed to instill a sense of responsibility towards the environment from a young age and had enjoyed lunch together.
