The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the offering of coconuts to the divine, seeking blessings for a harmonious bond between siblings. The significance of Raksha Bandhan was eloquently elaborated upon by Vaishnavi, a student from 7th grade IIT, who shared insights into the essence of the festival and the strong ties it fosters between brothers and sisters. The occasion was further enriched by heartwarming messages from the Principal, underlining the importance of such cultural celebrations in nurturing values.
In a heart-touching gesture, children from the school tied Rakhis to their beloved sir’s, symbolizing the bond of protection and care. Nagalalitha Priya from Grade 10 delivered an impactful speech, emphasizing the emotional depth of Raksha Bandhan.
The cultural extravaganza continued with a mesmerizing dance performance by the 2nd graders, adding a dash of vibrancy to the celebration. Arpitha from the 10th grade then shared her thoughts on the essence of Raksha Bandhan, captivating the audience with her eloquence.
The event took an emotional turn as siblings from the Greenwood family showcased their sibling love through a heartwarming dance performance. The primary children of the school participated enthusiastically in the Rakhi-tying ritual, demonstrating the innocence and joy of this festival.
