It is a cherished tradition at Greenwood High School, Hasanparthy to welcome new students with warmth and grandeur each academic year through the Freshers’ Day celebration. This year’s celebration, held on 18th July 2025, was no exception. With colourful performances, inspiring speeches, and a warm spirit of togetherness, the event highlighted a glorious beginning for the new batch of Greenwoodians
A Grand Welcome to Dignitaries
The celebration commenced with the gracious arrival of our esteemed dignitaries:
- Chief Guest: Sri. Dr.G. Bharadwaja Naidu, Hon’ble Director of Greenwood High School
- Special Guests:
- Sri A. Prabhu Kumar, General Manager
- Sri V.V.V. Naveen Kumar, Academic Principal
- Sri T. Pavan Kumar, Administrative Principal
- Sri V. Suresh Kumar, Vice Principal
- Smt. P. Kanthi Madam and Sri M. Phanindra, Academic Coordinators
Each guest was welcomed with a beautifully arranged bouquet, symbolizing our heartfelt appreciation and respect. The vibrant flowers reflected the joyful essence of the occasion and the warmth of the Greenwood family.
Ceremonial Start: The celebration officially began with the lighting of the lamp by Sri. Dr. Bharadwaja Naidu and the dignitaries, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the enlightenment of minds.
Cultural Performances – A Colourful Display: The stage then came alive with a series of enthralling cultural performances:
- A classical dance by Dhanasri and group from Class VII added traditional charm and elegance to the event.
- A graceful group dance by the Class VIII boys on “Raghukula Thilaka Rama” mesmerized the audience with devotion and artistry.
These performances celebrated our rich culture and reflected the students’ talent, passion, and dedication.
Words of Inspiration: Sri. Dr.G. Bharadwaja Naidu delivered a powerful inaugural address, offering valuable insights to the new students. He spoke on:
- The importance of adapting to school life
- Setting academic and personal goals
- Embracing learning as a lifelong journey
His address was a blend of inspiration and wisdom that set a positive tone for the students’ path ahead.
Following this, Sri J. Ramesh, our Telugu teacher, captivated the audience with a soulful song that added an emotional touch to the celebration.
Freshers’ Performances – Talent Unleashed!:The most awaited segment – the talent showcase by the students – lit up the stage with vibrant energy and joy. The performances included:
- Solo dances
- Group dances spanning modern, folk, and fusion styles
Each act was a burst of creativity and enthusiasm, symbolizing the spirit of togetherness and expression. These moments helped new students’ bond with their peers and feel truly welcomed into the Greenwood family.

Seamless Anchoring & Vote of Thanks:The entire program was flawlessly hosted by Salgar Thanuja, A. Sai Sahasra & S. Sai Shashira of Class X, under the mentorship of Mr. T. Vijaykanth Sir. Their confident and lively anchoring kept the audience engaged throughout.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by A. Sai Sahasra of Class X, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, organizers, and the audience for making the event a grand success.
