Club Activity @ Hunter Road Campus

Greenwood @ Hunter Road : Activities are a part of school life. Greenwood High School has taken the initiative to introduce Club Activities for to the students of our institute. English language is a work in progress. Have fun with it.

With this The Club Activities came to a start on 21 st October 2022 with students of Grade 7( Raman, Bose, Einstein and Newton) performing skits.

The session started with lots of Zeal and enthusiasm. The students were geared up and were looking forward for various activities that educate, brighten and enlighten the young brilliant minds.

Life is a drama and we are all actors. 

We started the performance with The Ruby house of all the sections, The show continued with Sapphire house followed by Diamond house and concluded with Emerald house. 

Prizes will be distributed to the best four performances.

The program came to an end with Principals speech. She has encouraged, appreciated and inspired all the students to participate and get the opportunity to go stage and gain lots of confidence.

With this healthy note the program had ended.

Every Diya That Lights Up The World Brightens Up With Joy

Hunter Road (Greenwood High School) : To remove the darkness of ignorance within us and replace it with the light of hope and knowledge instead. The festival of lights came alive at The Greenwood High School on 22ndOctober 2022, when the pre primary and the primary school wore a festive look with children wearing colourful dresses.

The Program began as the Dignitaries were invited on the stage. Welcome was given to them by the children.
We started the main event with the Prayer led by the LKG children, followed by speeches and slogan by UKG children.

Whats a program with a little dance and music. The first dance performed was done by the kids of nursery and pre-primary. Following by a musical song from UKG.

Students of Grade 1st and 2nd came up with heart felt Slogan on Diwali and kept the enthusiasm on the students awake.
A dance performance was done by grade 1st children.



A very interesting story was told by Adity on the festival Diwali. Followed by an amazing footwork of Grade 2 children.
To help the younger one learn a drama was performed by the senior primary students of Grade 4th and 5th so help the others learn the Value of Diwali.

Lastly a Dance was performed by Grade 3rd and 5th students.
The function conclude with a message by School principal Ms.Manjula Rani,who offered her warm wishes to the children and reiterated that children should celebrate a pollution free Diwali and if they want to burn the crackers ,only few they can that to in the presence of the elders only.

Achievements of Cadets at The NCC camp

Erragattugutta (Greenwood High School ) :

The Combined Annual Training Camp VIII at PTC, Mamnoor under the ageis of 10(T)Bn.NCC from.14-10-2022 to 21-10-2022 had the following achievements by cadets of Greenwood High School

  • The kho Kho team of J.Spandana,Sonali Sandip,Anushka pandey,Shashvitha were runners up in the event.
  • .In the Cross country running, the school had two winners

  • An awareness on good health practices was taken up which included yoga and other exercises. In this event the demonstrated by Anushka Pandey was greatly appreciated

The solo dance performance of CDT.P.Harshini as a part of the cultural event at the camp

The cultural show was anchored by CDT.S.Ashwik, CDT.L.Teja was part of the unit which performed a dance sequence on the life of a soldier

The 67 cadets of both campus had completed the training and had their camp certificates

Cadet R.Pruthvinath Reddy was given the best cadet award for his sincerity in accomplishing the night duty as a sentry.

Brain Hunt, a Hunt for Talent

(Erragttugutta Mother Campus): Brain Hunt is a weekly program initiated by Greenwood and continued for a very long time. The pandemic has put a pause to it, sadly. This is a Search for Talent among the students of the school. This academic year due to the efforts of our beloved Director, Dr. Bharadwaja Naidu and Academic Principal, VVV Naveen Kumar and the Educational Secretaries from the School Cabinet Brain Hunt has made a tremendous comeback. The winners for this week are:

Academic Prizes for Toppers of Periodic Assessments
Cash prize of FIVE HUNDRED RUPEES each is given to the toppers of the Periodic Assessment – 2 from each of the classes from VI – X. This award is a permanent one and will be given for the toppers of the future assessments also.
The toppers of Periodic Assessment – 1 who have won this award are felicitated by our beloved Director Sir during today’s Prayer Meeting.

Smt. G. Narayanamma Award for Academic Excellence
During this prayer meeting the Girrem Narayanamma Academic Excellence Award, a Yearly Award, is announced for this academic year 2022-2023 as is done every academic year. This is a yearly cash award of TEN THOUSAND RUPEES given to the topper from the class X by Our Beloved Director SIR In the memory of his mother Smt. G, Narayanamma Garu.


Inspired by this wonderful gesture of our beloved Director Sir our Chief Administrative Officer Sri Alapati Prabhu Kumar has come forward to announce a yearly award of FIVE THOUSAND RUPPES in the memory of his mother Smt. A. Rajeswari for the academic topper from the class IX.
Also encouraged by this gesture is our Principal Sri. VVV Naveen Kumar, who has come forward to announce an Yearly Award of FIVE THOUSAND RUPEES in the memory of his father Sri. Veda Rama Mohan Rao for the academic topper from the class VIII.
Our Director Dr. G Bharadwaja Naidu Sir has spoken about the duty of a child to his parents and appreciated the initiative taken by Sri A Prabhu Kumar and Sri VVV Naveen Kumar.
