Greenwood High School, Mancherial, proudly celebrated Telangana Bhasha Dinotsavam, paying homage to the rich cultural, linguistic, and literary heritage of Telangana. The event was conducted under the inspiring leadership of Principal Mr. R. Chandramohan and Vice Principal Mr. G. Thirupathi, with dedicated support from the Telugu Department teachers – Mr. G. Mahender, Mr. T. Venkateshwarlu, Mrs. G. Meera Bai, Mrs. P. Suneetha, and assisted by Mr. J. Suresh Kumar (Art), and Mrs. M. Tejaswi (Social Science).


Inaugural Ceremony
The celebrations began with the warm welcome of dignitaries, followed by the garlanding of the portrait of Kaviraju Kaloji Narayana Rao, the people’s poet who devoted his life to the Telugu language and Telangana culture. The program’s introduction emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the mother tongue.


Cultural Performances
The event featured a vibrant series of performances, including:

- A captivating classical dance on the Telangana state song by M. Shanvika, guided by Mr. Mahender.
- A melodious group song by G. Ruzula (Grade 9) and participants D. Sree Vyshnavi, K. Aamuktha, K. Deekshitha, P. Anjani, B. Hanika, G. Ashwini, and Manisha Meena, under the guidance of Mr. Mahender.
Fancy Dress Presentation
Students brought Telangana’s history to life by portraying eminent personalities and cultural icons:
- Avanthika & Manvika (Grade 3) as Telangana Thalli
- Goutham as Dr. C. Narayana Reddy
- Sai Krithik as Pothana
- Krithik Shreyansh as Daasharadhi Rangaacharya
- Aravind & Hasvith as Kaloji Narayana Rao
- Sai Vighnesh as Daasharadhi Krishnamaacharya
- Rudra Sai as Vaanamaamalai Varadaachaaryulu
- Srijal as Chakali Ilamma
- Surya Siddhartha as Komaram Bheem
The presentation, guided by Mrs. P. Suneetha, highlighted the inspirational legacy of Telangana’s leaders.


Literary Contributions
- 7th-grade girls, including A. Thanushree, O. Sree Nithya, T. Vinusha, R. Linisha, B. Aaradhya, Ch. Siddhi, A. Sahasra, P. Samanvi, and A. Vinuthna, recited Neethi Padhyalu under the guidance of Mr. Mahender.
- N. Sathwik (Grade 9) delivered a heartfelt speech on the greatness of Kaloji Narayana Rao, guided by Mr. Venkateshwarlu.
- Grade 4 students performed the spirited song “Theeya theniya sona naa Telangana”, with participants Ch. VedaBhanu, A. Manaswi, M. Himasri, V. Ayuktha, B. Karthika, and P. Hananya, under Mrs. Meera Bai’s mentorship.




Special Highlights
- A beautifully crafted Amaraveerula Sthoopam paid tribute to Telangana’s brave hearts.
- A stunning watercolor portrait of Kaloji Narayana Rao, painted by Art Teacher Mr. J. Suresh Kumar, captured the essence of Telangana’s spirit.
- Powerful speeches were delivered by L. Teena Baby (guided by Mr. T. Venkateshwarlu) and O. Sree Nithya (guided by Mr. Mahender).
- A Kavi Sammelanam, orchestrated by Mr. Mahender, showcased student poets including Thanuja, M. Sree Nithya, S. Sejal, V. Adhyay, A. Moksha, and J. Unnathi.
- Principal Mr. R. Chandramohan, as the guest of honor, recited a Telugu poem emphasizing the significance of Telangana Pada Praadhaanyatha.
- Vice Principal Mr. G. Thirupathi, the guest speaker, encouraged students to actively participate in poetry recitation.


Dance Extravaganza
A mesmerizing group dance on the song “Telangana Bhasha Teta Telugu Bhasha” was presented by Grade 6 girls, including P. Avanthika, Ch. Harshini, A. Loukya, P. Manyatha, G. Meghana, K. Praneetha, B. Saanvitha, M. Vasista, A. Rithuree, L. Teena Baby, and P. Sreeadhya, under the guidance of Mrs. M. Tejaswi.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. O. Venkatesh, Chemistry teacher, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, Vice Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and all participants for making the event a grand success with a touch of Telangana pride.
