Ballots and Vision: Greenwood High School Youth Choose Their Leaders


Greenwood High School successfully conducted its democratic elections for the Head Boy and Head Girl on 28th June 2025. After a careful nomination process, two candidates each from the boys and girls were shortlisted and actively campaigned on June 26 and 27 through speeches and posters.

In a smooth and transparent election, boys voted for Head Boy and girls for Head Girl. The event was inaugurated by Director Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu and General Manager Sri. Mr. A. Prabhu Kumar. Principal Sri. Mrs. Manjula Ma’am and Vice Principal Mr. Srikanth Sir oversaw the process, supported by the Social Studies Department.

The election provided a hands-on experience in democracy, encouraging leadership and responsibility. The school now eagerly awaits the results, proud of all candidates who participated with enthusiasm and integrity.


On the 10th of July 2025, Greenwood High School proudly hosted its Investiture Ceremony — a prestigious event that marked the official induction of the newly elected Student Cabinet. The ceremony followed the Student Cabinet Elections held on the 28th of June, and symbolized the first bold step taken by our young leaders toward embracing responsibility and service.

Rooted in the values of leadership and accountability, the ceremony was conducted with great dignity and enthusiasm. It commenced with the administering of the oath, led by our Honorable Director, Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu, who inspired students with his powerful address. The National Flag was then hoisted by our esteemed Direct director sir, accompanied by Principal Mrs. Manjula Devi, General Manager Mr. A. Prabhu Kumar, and Vice Principal Mr. K. Srikanth, as the student body stood tall with pride and reverence for our nation.

The ceremony continued with the grand march, showcasing impeccable coordination and discipline. Leading the cabinet were:

As the march proceeded, the leadership baton was symbolically passed on, as the House Presidents of Grade 10 led the Vice Presidents of Grade 9 into their new roles:

Following the formal pinning of badges and the collective oath-taking, the newly elected cabinet members addressed the gathering — their words reflecting vision, purpose, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Our respected dignitaries highlighted the essence of true leadership, emphasizing its role in shaping not only the future of the school but also the community and the nation.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by D. Aparna , expressing sincere gratitude to all who contributed to making the ceremony a resounding success. The program came to a close with the National Anthem, uniting the entire school community in a shared spirit of patriotism and pride.

Organized by the Department of Social Science, the Investiture Ceremony of 2025 was not just a recognition of emerging leaders, but a powerful reminder of the values of excellence, responsibility, and integrity that Greenwood High School strives to uphold.
