Greenwood, Hunter Road Campus , celebrated Bathukamma Festival with great fanfare

Hunter Road ( Day Campus ) : Bathukamma, Telangana’s most renowned and revered festival, is celebrated in the Greenwood High School with great fanfare by students and the teachers in the Hunter Road Campus of the school.

The program was held between 2 pm and 4 pm on Saturday, 24 September 2022, and all girl students of the school  turned up in traditional wear with lots of enthusiasm.  Mrs. Padmaja gaaru, wife of director Bharadwaja Naidu Sir, and Mrs. Jyothi, wife of Director Challa Dharma Reddy sir were the chief guests for the occasion. Both of them took part in the Bathukamma celebrations actively, matching the energies of students much younger than them.

Special arrangements were made in the school for the program. School brought many varieties of flowers and students made their own Bathukammas class-wise under guidance of women teachers.  Students gathered around the Bathukamma they made and sang songs and played Bathukmaa cheerfully.

Batahukammas were placed in the specially made pond for the occasion. DJ Music was arranged and children grooved to the tunes of traditional Telangana Bathukamma and folk songs with zest and energy. On the occasion, traditional Bathukamma delicacy, the famous Dasara Palli-Pindi was distributed to all the students.

On the occasion Director Sir wished everyone a Happy Dasara.

All the students relished the Dasara specials and wished one another a Happy Dasara before parting ways.
