Greenwood Group of Schools @ Erragattugutta

Possessing creativity is very essential in one’s life to be successful. Being connected with this world of creativity is something that one should be doing from one’s tender age. Art is a great way for children to develop their creativity. It not only helps the brain development of the younger ones but also to express themselves freely. It unlocks problem solving and builds fine motor skills and mental health among them.

At Greenwood High School, we always invigorate the students to be creative by edifying the artistic skills among them. For accomplishing our goal of making our students facile artists, we organized an Art Club at School. From this Art Club, around 30 students participated in the Painting Workshop held from 13 November to 19 November, 2022 and brought out their scintillating 30 canvas paintings with acrylic colors.

This workshop was organized by the Art Teacher Banaja Sahoo who teaches the students many art techniques like proportions, perspectives, color theory and so on. During the workshop the most revered Director of our school Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu had frequent visits and shared his valuable ideas and suggestions with the young artists.

The 30 Paintings of those young artists of Greenwood, painted during the Painting Workshop, were kept on exhibition on the day of Parents visit for local outing on 20 November, 2022. Many visitors were fascinated by artistic skills of the students and acclaimed them.

The Director Sri. Dr. G. Bharadwaja Naidu visited the exhibition’s gallery and commended the efforts and efficacious painting skills of the students and also commented that he hoped some of those students might choose fine art for their career and devote themselves for art in their future.

In addition to many parents and students, CAO of Greenwood Group of Schools Mr. A. Prabhu Kumar, Academic Principal  Mr. V.V.V. Naveen Kumar and Administrative Principal Mr. T. Pavan Kumar  visited the art gallery and appreciated the students.
