Greenwood High School, joyfully celebrated World Students’ Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam — the “Missile Man of India” and the beloved People’s President.

The students fondly remembered Dr. Kalam’s inspiring journey — his humble childhood, early struggles, remarkable achievements as a scientist and his enduring legacy as a visionary teacher and motivator. They reflected on his inspiring words:

“Dream, dream, dream. Dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts result in action.”
Our tiny tots from the Pre-Primary section added charm to the celebration with a delightful dress walk, dressed as Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, portraying his simplicity and greatness.

During the program, our Principal, Mrs. Manjula Devi, addressed the gathering and motivated the students by sharing about Dr. Kalam’s life as a teacher, inspirer and lifelong learner. She encouraged students to follow his path of perseverance and passion for learning. Our Vice Principal, Mr. K. Srikanth also shared his valuable thoughts and appreciated the enthusiasm and participation of the students.

The day also marked the observance of Global Handwashing Day. To highlight the importance of cleanliness and good hygiene, our students enthusiastically performed and demonstrated the proper steps of handwashing, emphasizing the need to keep our hands clean to stay healthy and safe.
It was truly a day filled with inspiration, learning and awareness!
